The purpose of the NB Power “Safe Hours of Work” policy and the following period of rest provisions are to ensure that workers have had adequate rest prior to resuming work. In some circumstances, it is possible that even with these measures workers may still be too fatigued to perform work of a complex or hazardous nature. In those cases, the worker should discuss the situation with their Supervisor in order to determine if other work can be assigned.
