INTO EFFECT Clause Samples
The 'INTO EFFECT' clause defines the point in time when an agreement or specific provisions within it become legally binding and enforceable. Typically, this clause specifies a particular date, event, or the completion of certain conditions that trigger the commencement of the contract's obligations. For example, a contract might state it comes into effect upon signature by both parties or upon delivery of a product. Its core practical function is to provide clarity and certainty about when the parties' rights and duties begin, thereby preventing disputes over the timing of contractual obligations.
