Normal Work Day definition

Normal Work Day means 8 hours within a nine-hour period for all public officers and employees both salaried and nonsalaried, regardless of the officers’ or employees’ regular work schedule.
Normal Work Day. The hours normally required for an employee to work any one day or one shift pursuant to the terms of this Agreement.
Normal Work Day means a day that comprises the Normal Business Hours.

Examples of Normal Work Day in a sentence

  • Variance in Normal Work Day: Employees may have later arrival times, earlier departure times, and be permitted to leave the building during the normal workday for personal reasons on an individual basis when approval is granted in advance by the building principal and/or the immediate supervisor.

  • Any employee who has already worked a Normal Work Day as specified in this Agreement (that is, within the normal eight (8) hour day between 5:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.) shall not be permitted to also work a Shift Work job in the same day.

  • Labor rates are listed as follows: Normal Work Day: 7:00 am through 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding all State holidays.

  • Shift Work shall be paid for any portion of an employees' eight (8) hour work day which falls outside of the Normal Work Day.

  • Overtime (OT) hours are performed outside of a Normal Work Day or Work Week, including weekends and holidays.
