Paying for your booking. Where you have only paid the booking fee and an Initial Deposit, you are required to send to Holiday Lettings your payment for the Balance and you may be required to pay the Damage Deposit and/or Other Fees within a certain period prior to the arrival date specified in the email confirmation (the “Arrival Date”). If you fail to make the balance payment due to us to Holiday Lettings in full and on time we shall be entitled to treat your Booking as cancelled by you and the Cancellation Policy (as defined below) shall apply. If you cancel or amend your Booking If you need to cancel or amend your Booking you must write to us or email us as soon as possible. The link to your Booking page in the confirmation email will also enable you to submit a cancellation through the Website, however, you should contact us first before cancelling in this manner. A cancellation or amendment will not take effect until we receive confirmation from you. The cancellation policy described in your email confirmation (“Cancellation Policy”) applies to your Booking and Holiday Lettings will refund any amounts due to you in accordance with the agreed Cancellation Policy. In the event that:  any Balance required from you is not paid in accordance with the timeframes set out in the Cancellation Policy; or  you do not arrive at the property within 24 hours of your arrival time without notifying us, then we shall be entitled to treat your Booking as being cancelled by you and the Cancellation Policy shall apply. If we cancel or amend your Booking We would not expect to have to make any changes to your Booking once it is agreed between you and us, but sometimes problems occur and we do have to make alterations or, very occasionally cancel Bookings. If this does happen, we will contact you as soon as is reasonably practical and inform you of the cancellation or the change to your Booking. If we cancel your Booking, Holiday Lettings will refund you any fees you have already paid to Holiday Lettings. However, we will not be liable to refund you for any fees you may have paid to any third party in connection with your holiday (including, without limitation, fees for travel, entertainment, activities or insurance).

Access to your room(s) will not be granted until payment has been made in full. For group bookings we will not accept payment by individual guests/delegates.

NB: You are responsible for any bank charges by your bank for payment to us by BACS/internet banking. Security / Damage DepositA security deposit of £50.00 GBP is required. The deposit is not applied toward rent. We will hold the Security Deposit to be applied against the reasonable cleaning and/or replacement of the property, furnishings, fixtures and fittings. We will return the Security Deposit to you within 14 days (although normally within 48 hours) of departure, after the return of the keys to us and the property has been checked, less any deductions in accordance with the conditions listed below:  No damage is done to the property or its contents, beyond normal wear and tear.  No charges are incurred due to illegal activity, pets or collection of rents or services rendered during the stay.  All debris, rubbish and discards are placed in the rubbish bin, and soiled dishes are cleaned.  All keys are left where they were found on arrival and bungalow is left locked and secure.  All charges accrued during the stay are paid prior to departure.  No linens are lost or damaged. (Or stained through careless laundering or use of suncreams).  NO early arrival or late departure, unless arranged at time of booking. (If available).  The renter is not evicted by the owner (or representative of the owner) or the local law enforcement.

We shall return the Damage Deposit to you following the return of the keys to us or our agent, less any deductions in accordance with the conditions listed above. Any Other Fee(s) shall be described in the Quote and are non-refundable.

Paying for your booking. All bookings made via Lairhillock Lodge’s website, must be guaranteed with a credit or debit card – Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro or Delta. No money will be taken from the card at the time of booking. The balance of the account must be made to the Lodge when you check in. Cash, cheques, credit or debit cards are welcome in settlement of your account. Cheques must be supported by, and within the limits of, a current service card issued by any major UK bank. As a measure of fraud prevention you will be required to enter the three digit Card Verification Value (CVV) printed on the back of your credit or debit card when making a booking online. Unless stated as part of your booking any additional items such as (but not limited to) the cost of external telephone calls, meals and drinks are not included in the price of your stay. If you incur any such additional costs you must settle the sum involved prior to your departure from the Lodge. All prices include VAT at the current rate at the time a payment is made.
