Paid Personal Days. Effective July 1, 2008 all Regular employees will receive one (1) paid personal day per year. (Increased to two (2) paid personal days per year effective July 1, 2009). These days must be used within the year, cannot carry forward from one year to the next, and cannot be paid out in lieu of. Paid personal days will not be unreasonably denied.

Paid Personal Days. If the sick days provided for in Article 15.01 are not used, one hundred percent (100%) of the unused days remaining at the calendar year end may be carried forward for one (1) calendar year as paid personal leave days to be used in one of the following ways; - as additional sick days - as personal leave days - as emergency leave days - as a bridge for a temporary lay-off Personal days not used in the calendar year to which they are applicable shall be non cumulative and shall not be subject to any cash payouts.
Paid Personal Days. (a) Each employee shall be entitled to three (3) Paid Personal Days each calendar year after one (1) year of employment. Personal Days must be taken during the calendar year. Unused personal days will be paid at the end of the year.

In extenuating circumstances, a Personal Leave Day (sick day) may be granted by the Employer on the same day that it is requested. The Personal Leave Day (sick day) must be scheduled in increments of one (1) full day upon approval by the Employer. The Personal Leave days shall be taken in the calendar year in which they are granted. Approval for requests of Personal Leave days shall not be unreasonably withheld. Any unused sick days as of December 31st will be paid out or transferred into the RRSP.

Personal days are for activities of a personal nature that necessitate an individual to be absent from professional duties. Paid Personal Days. 24:01 The Company will pay employees at their regular day rate for up to five and a half (5 1/2) days per year for time lost for sickness, etc. It may be split between any combination of three (3) full days and four (4 1/2) half days or five (5 1/2) days. The half days are for the purpose of personal absence rather than sickness. Days not used will be accumulated and allocated as paid time off due and payable on the pay day coinciding with the yearly anniversary of this agreement.

An employee must have five years of service between April 01 and September 30 to be eligible for five paid days.
