Other Association Leave. Members of the bargaining unit shall be entitled to donate accrued but unused vacation time and/or personal leave time to an Association leave bank subject to the conditions set forth in this article.

Other Association Leave. The District shall grant Association leave to teachers designated by the Association President to attend to lawful business pertinent to Association affairs. Such leave shall be limited to a maximum of ten (10) days for any individual unit member each school year; however, additional days shall be granted for unit members to attend state or national conferences. The Association shall request such leave by advance written notice to the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources. The Association shall pay the District the amount of the daily substitute rate for each day of leave taken in accordance with this section.
Other Association Leave. The Association may have access to an additional five (5) days, or its equivalent, of paid leave per school year, to be utilized by members other than the president and to be reimbursed by the Association to the District per Section A of this Article. Distribution of the Association Leave shall be mutually agreed upon in writing by the Association President and the Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources prior to the use of the leave to ensure the quality and continuity of the instructional program. The District shall respond within two (2) workdays of receipt of request.
Other Association Leave. Leave time necessitated by the duties attendant to any elected or appointed office held by a member of the JEA in the State or National affiliates shall not be charged to the leave time of the JEA as granted in this Article. The JEA, directly or through its affiliates, shall reimburse the City and Borough of Juneau School District for the cost of a substitute teacher if one is employed as a direct result of said leave, at the current per diem rate of salary for substitute teachers which is in effect at the time the leave is taken.

  • Association Leave A total of 10 days of leave with pay during the current school year shall be granted the Association for use by the Association. A maximum of four additional days may be used for Association leave and the substitute’s salary will be reimbursed to the Board by the Association. The President of the Association will notify the Superintendent as to the educators and dates involved at least five (5) days before such leave is desired.

  • Association Leaves 1. The Board will provide the Association President or their designee with forty (40) days of paid released time during the course of the school year in order to conduct Association Business. The Association shall reimburse the Board for the cost of any substitute required as the result of any such released time which exceeds forty (40) days during the course of the school year.

  • Federation Leave A leave of absence for the president and a second position of the Federation shall be granted to any employee covered by this Agreement upon application by the Federation for the purpose of the employee serving as an officer of the Federation. The District shall continue to pay such employee(s) and provide benefits, with the exception of leave benefits, but will be reimbursed by the Federation for the cost of salary and fringe benefits. Upon return from such leaves, an employee shall proceed on the salary schedule as if s/he had been employed with the District each year of the leave. The Federation agrees to consider carefully each request for release time for Federation members. Although leaves for short terms without loss of pay may be granted upon approval by the Office of the Superintendent, the Federation shall reimburse the District for the cost of salaries and fringe benefits.

  • Employee Organization Leave Notification of a unit member's intent to take Employee Organization Leave shall be submitted to the Vice Chancellor of Human Resources no later than thirty (30) days prior to the starting date of the leave. In addition to the leave benefits granted to representatives of employee organizations by law, unit members on employee organization leave shall not accrue vacation credit, nor submit time reports for vacation leaves. Sick leave shall continue to accrue and sick leave time reporting shall be processed through the Vice Chancellor of Human Resources. AFT shall notify the District no less than sixty days (60) prior to the return to service of a unit member on Employee Organization Leave.

  • Union Leave (a) Upon receiving a written request at least one (1) week in advance from the Union, the Company will grant leave of absence for not more than two (2) employees at any one time to attend Union conferences, conventions, or workshops, providing that the combined leaves of absence will not exceed forty (40) working days in any one (1) calendar year. Such leaves of absence will be without pay but with maintenance and accumulation of benefits (normal payroll deductions to apply).
