Instructional Program. OSES curriculum is guided by Orange County Public School and the FDOE curriculum/guidelines. In order to provide an excellent elementary school education, as outlined in our mission statement, OSES enhances the basic Orange County Public Schools curriculum whenever possible. All papers or projects submitted at OSES are required to be in the student’s own words unless stated in writing by the teacher otherwise. Therefore, any copying of information from the Internet or any other source (i.e. “cutting & pasting ”, etc.) is considered plagiarism. However, drawings and/or pictures may be taken from an Internet or other source as long as they are properly cited in the document. Cheating and plagiarism demonstrate a deliberate disregard for the educational program and are considered a serious matter. Student’s who cheat or plagiarize will immediately be given a zero on the assignment/project and referred to the administration using an Office Referral Form.

Instructional Program. Google classroom will be the approved platform for teachers and required for all teachers. Zoom or Google Meet are the approved platforms for synchronous instruction. District scope and sequence for essential standards should be adhered to utilizing district adopted materials.

Criteria for membership, contractual rate of pay, if offered, if 33 any, and the available openings on the committees, if any, shall be listed at the time of posting. Instructional Program. It is the intent of the District and Association to return to a traditional instructional program (Phase 3) as soon as is feasible consistent with applicable state and local directives issued in response to this pandemic. It is anticipated that the return to a traditional instructional program will occur in phases and may include distance learning (Phase 1) and modified in-person instruction (Phase 2). Exhibit A provides an overview of all OUSD Slice Elementary and Secondary models.
