Jury Duty and Court Witness. Time spent by an employee to serve as a juror or court witness shall be considered time worked at the appropriate rate of pay. The Executive Director shall be informed of any required court appearances of any staff and all conduct monies received by any staff person shall be paid to the Employer.
Jury Duty and Court Witness a. A teacher called for jury duty shall be compensated for the difference between the regular teaching pay and any compensation received for the performance of such obligation.

The Associate Director, Organizational Support Services or designate will grant a leave to an Employee who is summoned to serve as a juror or is required by Writ or Subpoena to appear in court as a witness (not on the Employee’s behalf) and will be paid the Employee’s regular pay for the day required to be in court, provided the Employee presents to the Employer the process which required the Employee’s presence in court and pays over to the Employer the amount received as such juror or witness (less travel and living expense).
Jury Duty and Court Witness. 14.01 An employee who is selected for service as a juror or who is subpoenaed as a witness to appear in court will be compensated for loss of pay. The Employee will notify the Employer of upcoming jury/witness service dates as soon as official notification is received. At this time the Employer will reschedule the employee for 0800-1600 Monday to Friday for one (1) week periods until the employee completes the jury/witness duty. Such compensation will be based at his regular hourly rate less the fee received for his services as a juror or witness. However, should the employee present himself for selection as a juror, and not be selected, then he is required to return to the Employer's premises to complete his remaining normally scheduled work day.
Jury Duty and Court Witness. 14:01 An employee who is called for and reports for Jury Duty shall be paid the difference between his/her regular straight time pro-rated hourly rate for standard hours and his/her Jury Duty pay for the time lost from work and actually spent on Jury Duty. To receive the benefits under this Section 14:01, an employee must give proof of the extent of the Jury Duty and of the Jury Duty pay and must give the Company prior notice of his/her Jury Duty call.
Jury Duty and Court Witness. 13.01 If an employee has to appear in court on Company business, said employee will be excluded one (1) shift to compensate for same. If the employee is on the 1600 to 2400 hour shift, he will be excused the shift following his appearance.

Employees who are required to serve on jury duty or as a witness pursuant to a subpoena will receive full salary during the period of such service less an amount equal to the compensation paid to them for such jury duty or as such witness, but the employee shall report for his/her assigned work when he/she is not required in the courthouse.

(other than personal business) A unit member may be absent from duty to serve as a juror or when subpoenaed as a court witness in the line of civic responsibility (other than personal business) without loss of pay. Fees paid the unit member for such services shall be payable to the District.
