JURY DUTY ALLOWANCE. 16.01 In the case of an employee who has established seniority and is called for Jury service or subpoenaed as a witness, except for arbitration, the Company shall pay for each day of such service, an allowance equal to the difference between eight (8) hours of pay based on his regular straight time hourly rate and the payment he received for jury service or Crown witness. The employee will present proof of service and of pay received therefore when making his claim for such allowance. An employee who is called for jury service or subpoenaed as a witness by the Crown must notify the Company immediately.

JURY DUTY ALLOWANCE. 32:01 A seniority employee who is summoned for jury duty or jury selection, including a coroner's jury, or who is subpoenaed to testify as a witness for the Crown or the accused or as witness in a civil suit, shall be paid the difference between the pay he receives for such duty or testimony (exclusive of travel allowance or reimbursement for expenses), and the pay he would have received to a maximum of eight (8) hours at his regular rate of pay, for any time lost. Employees who are not required to remain in court for a full day shall report for work within a reasonable time after being excused from court. Employees required to serve on jury duty while on vacation will be able to reschedule their vacation.
JURY DUTY ALLOWANCE. An employee who is called for Jury Duty or as a subpoenaed witness and who attends Court for all or part of a scheduled work day will be excused from work for that full day regardless of scheduled shift on that day and shall receive for each day of such jury or witness duty, the difference between eight (8) hours at his average hourly rate and the jury or witness fee received for that day. The Company may require the employee to furnish a certificate of service signed by the Clerk of the Court before making any payment under this Article.
JURY DUTY ALLOWANCE. 28.01 Any employee who has completed one or more years of continuous employment who is required to perform jury duty or is required to appear as a witness in a court trial by subpoena in which the employee is not a litigant, will be entitled to reimbursement at the straight time hourly rate of their regular job for the hours necessarily lost as a result of serving on the jury or reasonable time for appearing as a witness. When subpoenaed as a witness in order to obtain the benefits of this section, notice to the Company and written proof of subpoena service must be given at least 36 hours in advance of appearance requirement. The employee will be required to furnish a signed statement from a responsible officer of the court as proof of jury service.

Any regular (blue-slip and/or labor pool) employee as defined in Section 3 who is required to perform jury duty will be entitled to reimbursement at the straight time hourly rate of his regular job for the hours necessarily lost as a result of serving on the jury, provided, however, that such reimbursement shall not exceed eight (8) hours per day or forty (40) hours per week, less pay received for jury duty. The employee will be required to furnish a signed statement from a responsible officer of the court as proof of jury service and jury duty pay received. The employee will also be required to provide proof of jury duty attendance and time of day excused, and if released by 11:00 AM, will be expected to return to work (days or nights). Jury duty for Federal Court will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
JURY DUTY ALLOWANCE. An employee summoned to appear or required to serve jury duty or one who has been served with a subpoena to appear as a witness, shall be paid the difference between what he/she would have earned for his/her scheduled hours at his/her paid rate and the court fee received. Employees should notify their xxxxxxx as soon as possible after receipt of notice of selection for jury duty or subpoenaed to appear as a witness. The Company may require the employee to furnish a certificate of service from an officer of the court before making any payment under this section. The employee will come to work during those regular hours that he/she is not required to attend the court.

The employee will present proof of the amount of jury duty pay that he received.

JURY DUTY ALLOWANCE. When an Employee has been absent from work because of jury service, the Employee shall be paid their regular salary by the Employer with the understanding that, at the completion of jury service, the Employee shall present any jury service check to the Employer or the amount of such check, less the amount included for traveling expenses, shall be deducted from the next regular paycheck or the Employee shall pay the Employer an amount equivalent to the jury service pay excluding travel expense allowed.
