Drug & Alcohol Use. Drug and alcohol use is highly detrimental to the safety and productivity of employees in the workplace. No employee may be under the influence of any alcohol or illicit drug while in the workplace, whilst on duty, or while operating a vehicle or equipment owned or leased by the employer. Disciplinary action may occur as a result of possessing, distributing, transferring, purchasing, selling, using or being under the influence of alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs while on the employer's property, while attending business-related activities, while on duty or while operating a vehicle or machine leased or owned by the employer. These actions may also result in instant dismissal.

In order to properly manage the safety of employees, other persons and equipment the employer may also choose to conduct random drug testing at any time. Employees covered by this Agreement agree to undergo drug and alcohol testing in the above circumstances. An employee who refuses to undergo a drug or alcohol test in the above circumstances will be treated as if they have returned a positive result. If employees are taking a prescribed course of legal drugs to treat a medical condition the employee should notify the employer of such whenever the use of those legal drugs may reduce the employees ability to safely perform their normal

Drug & Alcohol Use. As a performing athlete I recognize the need and expectation for appropriate and legal drug and alcohol use if I choose to consume it. I understand that as a member of the Spirit Squad if I am under the influence of any drugs or alcohol during any Utah Valley University sponsored event or activity that I am subject to disciplinary action. It is a fundamental belief of the NCAA and UVU that athletic/program participation is a privilege and those athletes who use illegal performance enhancing and/or recreational drugs substantively violate that privilege. A student performing athlete assumes the responsibility to conduct them self in an appropriate manner. Prohibited acts: unlawful use, possession, distribution, sale, or manufacture of any controlled substance, alcohol, or illegal drug on any property or in any building owned, leased, or rented by the University, or at any activity sponsored by the institution. Those involved in such activities are subject to University disciplinary action and substantial legal sanctions pursuant to local, county, state, and federal laws. Violation of the drug and alcohol policy may result in one or more of the following penalties: verbal or written notice, a specified period of probation, suspension or expulsion.

  • DRUG/ALCOHOL TESTING 8.1 The parties agree that the maintenance of a drug/alcohol free work place is a goal of both the College and the Union. Employees are prohibited from possession, consumption and/or being under the influence of a controlled substance/alcohol while on the College’s premises or during time paid by the employer.   • Alcohol and Drug-Free Workplace City reserves the right to deny access to, or require Contractor to remove from, City facilities personnel of any Contractor or subcontractor who City has reasonable grounds to believe has engaged in alcohol abuse or illegal drug activity which in any way impairs City's ability to maintain safe work facilities or to protect the health and well-being of City employees and the general public. City shall have the right of final approval for the entry or re-entry of any such person previously denied access to, or removed from, City facilities. Consultant’s failure to conform to the requirements set forth in Council Policy 100-5 shall constitute a material breach of this Agreement and shall be cause for immediate termination of this Agreement by City.

  • Alcohol and Drugs Service Provider agrees that the presence of alcohol and drugs are prohibited on the Work Site and while performing their Services. If the Service Provider or any of their agents, employees, or subcontractors are determined to be present or with alcohol or drugs in their possession, this Agreement shall terminate immediately.
