UNION CHECKOFF. 5.01 The Union shall each month mail to the Employer a checkoff form, in duplicate, setting out the name of each employee in the Union and the amounts of dues, etc. they owe. The Employer shall delete any names from such list of employees who have terminated since the previous list and shall also add the names of any new employees.
5.02 All employees shall be required to sign authorization for checkoff of Union dues, fees, fines and assessments which may be levied by the Union in accordance with the Constitution and/or By-Laws. Such checkoff shall be irrevocable.
5.03 The Employer shall deduct and pay over to the Secretary-Treasurer of the Union any monthly dues, fees, fines and assessments levied in accordance with the Union's By-Laws, owing by said employees hereunder to the said Union. Monies deducted during any month should be forwarded by the Employer to the Secretary-Treasurer of the Union not later than the tenth (10th) day of each following month, and one (l) copy of the checkoff as above mentioned.
UNION CHECKOFF. ▇. ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ to New Jersey Law the Township agrees to deduct the Union’s monthly dues from the pay of the covered employees who authorize the Township in writing to do so. Deductions shall be made each month. All amounts deducted shall be made each month. All amounts deducted shall be remitted to the Union once a month no later than the tenth day of the month following deduction. The Township agrees to furnish the Union, upon request, monthly, with a list of newly hired and terminated employees. The Union will advise the Township in writing of the amount of the monthly dues.
B. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 34:13A-5.5 et. seq. all non-members of the Union shall pay to the Union a representation fee in lieu of dues for services rendered by the Union in an amount equivalent to the regular membership dues and assessments charged by the Union to its own members, less the cost of benefits financed through the dues, fees and assessments and available to the benefiting only its members, but in no event shall such fee exceed 85% of the regular membership dues, fees and assessments.
C. The Union shall indemnify, defend and save the Township harmless against any and all claims, demands, suits, or other forms of liability that shall arise out of or by reason of action taken by the Township in reliance upon salary deduction authorization cards submitted by the Union to the Chief Financial Officer or in reliance upon the official notification on the letterhead of the Union advising of such change deduction.
UNION CHECKOFF. 7.01 Each Employee in the Bargaining Unit shall pay the equivalent of union dues to the Union. The Employer will deduct an amount equal to the amount of the Union’s membership dues from the bi-weekly pay of all Employees in the Bargaining Unit. Dues deductions for Employees entering the Bargaining Unit shall commence at the first full bi-weekly pay period.
7.02 The Union shall inform the Employer, in writing, of the amount to be deducted for each Employee.
7.03 The Employer shall provide the Union with each Employee’s name, date of hire and date of first deduction within thirty (30) calendar days of hiring into the Bargaining Unit. The Employer shall provide to the Union a list identifying each Employee and the deductions made on her/his behalf. If requested by the Union, the list will include the position, title, department, division, date of hire, work location, and hourly wage for the Employee.
7.04 The amounts deducted from the pay of the Employee in accordance with Article 7.01 shall be remitted by cheque to the Union within a reasonable period after deductions are made and shall be accompanied by the name of the Employee and note if he or she is a Full-Time Employee, or a Part-Time Employee, a Probationary Employee, or a Term Employee or and the deductions made on his/her behalf.
7.05 The Union agrees to indemnify and save the Employer harmless against any claim or liability arising out of an error committed by the Employer or arising from the administration of this article.
UNION CHECKOFF. Article 7, Section 3 shall be replaced as follows:
UNION CHECKOFF. Section 1: The City agrees to deduct from the wage of each individual employee in the bargaining unit, who voluntarily becomes a Union member, the Union's dues subject to all of the following sub-sections:
(a) The Union shall obtain from each of its members a completed Checkoff Authorization form which shall conform to the respective state and federal laws concerning that subject or any interpretations made thereof.
(b) Checkoff Authorization forms shall be filed with the Finance Department who may return any incomplete or incorrectly completed form to the Union's treasurer, and no checkoff shall be made until such deficiency is corrected.
(c) The City shall check off only obligations which come due at the time of checkoff, will make checkoff deduction only if the employee has enough pay due to cover such obligation, and will not be responsible for refund to the employee if he has duplicated a checkoff deduction by direct payment to the Union.
(d) The City's remittance will be deemed correct if the Union does not give notice, in writing, to the Finance Department within two (2) weeks after a remittance is sent of its belief, with reasons stated therefor, that the remittance is incorrect.
(e) Any employee covered by the terms of this Agreement may join or terminate membership in the Union by written notice to the Finance Department, and the amount owing the Union shall reflect accordingly with the next payment from the employee and dues to the Union.
(f) The Union shall provide at least thirty (30) days written notice to the Finance Department of the amount of Union dues to be deducted from the wages of City employees as in accordance with this section. Any change in the amounts determined will also be provided to the Finance Department at least thirty (30) days prior to its implementation.
(g) The Union agrees to defend, indemnify and save the City harmless against any and all claims, suits or other forms of liability arising out of its deduction from an employee's pay of Union dues or in reliance on any list, notice, certification or authorization furnished under this section. The Union assumes full responsibility for the disposition of the deductions so made once they have been sent to the Union.
UNION CHECKOFF. 7.01 The Employer will, as a condition of employment, deduct an amount equal to the amount of the Union's dues from the bi-weekly pay of all employees in the Bargaining Unit. Dues deductions for employees entering the Bargaining Unit shall commence at the first full bi- weekly pay period.
7.02 The Union shall inform the Employer, in writing, of the amount to be deducted for each employee.
7.03 The amounts deducted from the pay of the employee in accordance with Article 7.01 shall be remitted to the Secretary-Treasurer of the Union within three (3) weeks after deductions are made and shall be accompanied by the name of the Employee and note if the Employee is a Full-time Employee or a Permanent Part-time Employee and the amount of deduction made on her behalf.
7.04 The Union agrees to indemnify and save the Employer harmless against any claim or liability arising out of an error committed by the Employer or arising from the administration of Article 7.
UNION CHECKOFF. Upon written authorization executed by an individual employee, the District agrees to deduct Union dues and/or initiation fees and remit the same to the Union in accordance with the statutes of the State of Washington. The authorization form shall be supplied by the Union but shall first be approved by the District.

The Employer further agrees to deduct these amounts from each weekly paycheck received by said employees and to promptly remit these amounts monthly to the Business Manager/Financial Secretary-Treasurer of the Union, together with a list of names of all employees to whom such monies are to be credited. An authorization from an employee shall remain in effect for one (1) year from the date of the authorization, or for the remaining term of this Agreement, if less than one (1) year, and from year to year thereafter, unless the employee gives written notice to the Employer during the ten (10) days prior to the anniversary date of the employee's authorization or the expiration date of this Agreement.
UNION CHECKOFF. The Employer agrees that it will deduct from the wages of the employees, the initiation fee and monthly dues uniformly required by the Union, provided it has a signed authorization from the employee, and will forward same to the Union, together with a list of the employees from whom such deductions were made.
