GENERAL WORKING RULES. 28.1 The Working Rules contained herein, and not inconsistent with the provisions of this Agreement, are hereby adopted, and will remain in effect until modified or amended. Any changes in the Working Rules between the Department and the local Union signatory hereto shall be promulgated in the form of schedules supplementary to and incorporated in this Agreement.
GENERAL WORKING RULES. 1601 - Single Shift Hours. Five (5) consecutive days of eight (8) consecutive hours, exclusive of meal period, Monday through Friday inclusive, shall constitute a week’s work at straight time rate. 1601.1 - At the beginning of a job or project, starting times for that project (or specific unit of the project) shall be established by the Employer.
GENERAL WORKING RULES. 15.1 All regular employees called to work outside of their regular schedule shall receive a minimum of two (2) hours pay at the appropriate rate. When work continues without interruption after normal quitting time, the minimum call out in the preceding sentence shall not apply.

It is understood by both the Union and the Employer that since the ships are so different in general characteristics (size, intended use when constructed, date of construction, mission, and other similar factors) one set of detailed rules in its entirety cannot be made applicable to all ships. For this reason, the Employer reserves the right to modify, alter, or suspend any of the following rules or portion thereof when the Employer determines that compliance is impracticable because of a ship's physical characteristics. The determination that compliance is impracticable will be in writing and will set forth all reasons supporting such finding. The Employer will call the Business Representative when such small pours are made when appearance or finish is not of primary concern.

When any worker in the trade is given xxxxxxx’x responsibilities, he shall receive xxxxxxx pay. 1703 - All craftsmen shall be furnished all hand tools over one and one-half (1-1/2) inch opening, power tools, standard lenses for welding hoods and goggles. These will be charged to the employees who are to guarantee their return in like condition wear and tear excepted. No person shall be denied employment for failure to provide tools, machines or devices specified above.
