Term of Leave. 15.13.2.1 Staff Development Leave may be granted for not more than 240 hours for a Unit Member employed one hundred (100) percent (pro-rata for employment of less than one hundred (100) percent).

Term of Leave. Maternity leave shall be granted only for medical reasons arising out of and in the course of a pregnancy, the subsequent childbirth, or other related medical conditions, as provided below:
Term of Leave. An employee shall receive maternity and parental leave in accordance with the Employment Standards Act. Requests for maternity / parental / adoption leave shall be made in writing at least two (2) weeks in advance of the leave. The written request shall indicate the proposed length of maternity and parental/adoption leave (if applicable). The request shall include a doctor’s certificate indicating the expected delivery date and particulars about the leave.
Term of Leave. An employee will be permitted up to a maximum of ten (10) months of unpaid leave for child rearing pursuant to this Article.

Term of Leave. Maternity leave is for a term of up to seventeen (17) weeks with the first two (2) weeks paid as sick leave for employees not participating in Supplementary Unemployment Benefit (SUB) plan. For employees participating in the SUB plan, there are two (2) weeks of unpaid time in accordance with the Employment Insurance Act (1996, c.23, E-5.6 as amended). Leave may commence at the end of the seventh month of pregnancy. Following maternity leave, the employee may take unpaid leave of up to thirty-seven (37) weeks as parental leave.
