Promotion Outside of Bargaining Unit. A. An employee who is promoted to a position in the Police Department which is outside the bargaining unit shall continue to accumulate seniority until his promotion becomes permanent, at which time his/her seniority shall be frozen.

Promotion Outside of Bargaining Unit. 13.01 Employees promoted to a position outside of the bargaining unit shall carry their seniority with them and said employee may return to the bargaining unit without loss of seniority and accumulated staff benefits within a three (3) month period. In order to return to the bargaining unit, an employee must give the Employer within the above mentioned three (3) month time period, their notice of intention to return to the bargaining unit. Such notice shall be sufficient to allow the Employer to provide ten (10) working days' notice to a displaced employee should the above mentioned employee return to the bargaining unit require a layoff.
Promotion Outside of Bargaining Unit. 14.01 Where employees are promoted outside the bargaining unit they shall carry their seniority with them. If within three (3) months worked from the date the employee was promoted to the position, the employee proves to be unsatisfactory or if the employee requests to return to their former position, the employee shall be returned to their former position and appropriate rate of pay without loss of seniority. Any other employee affected may also be returned to their former position and former rate of pay without loss of seniority and without any notice.

If an employee returns to the bargaining unit, he/she shall be placed in a job consistent with his/her seniority. Such return shall not result in the lay-off or bumping of an employee holding greater seniority.
Promotion Outside of Bargaining Unit. (a) When an Owner Operator within the bargaining unit covered by this Agreement receives a leave of absence to take a position within the Company which is beyond the scope of the bargaining unit, he/she may retain his/her seniority for a maximum of one hundred and eighty (180) calendar days. Such individuals shall not directly hire, fire or discipline members of the bargaining unit but may participate with respect to making recommendations to same.

  • Non-Bargaining Unit Personnel It is understood and agreed that there are times when non-bargaining unit employees may be required to perform work customarily performed by bargaining unit employees. It is also understood that Supervisors and others will be required to work with tools only to meet requirements under the conditions listed below.   • Bargaining Unit Roster Upon the signing of this Agreement and monthly thereafter, the Employer shall supply to the Union via a secured method an alphabetical list of all employees covered by this Agreement. The list shall include the name, address, employee identification number, date of hire, rehire date (if applicable), shift, FTE, job classification, department cost center number, unit, hourly rate of pay and monthly gross earnings. Each month, the Employer will provide a list of new hires and addresses, and a list of all employees who have terminated during the month via a secured method. The new hire and termination lists shall include the same data as the monthly employee roster except for monthly gross earnings. The termination list shall include the termination date. Within ninety (90) days of ratification, Swedish Medical Center and SEIU 1199NW will convene a work group including HRIS expert to explore a method for the Employer to provide a list of all employment changes for bargaining unit employees, via a secure site.

  • Performance of Bargaining Unit Work A. Supervisors are prohibited from performing bargaining unit work at post offices with 100 or more bargaining unit employees, except:

However, nothing in this Agreement shall be construed as prohibiting foremen from doing work for purposes of employee instruction and evaluation, and equipment assessment, provided in so doing a lay-off of bargaining unit employees does not result, or in the case of an emergency when regular employees are not available, provided that every reasonable effort is made to find a replacement.

  • SCOPE OF BARGAINING 3.1 The Board and the Association agree to negotiate in good faith on wages, hours, fringe benefits and other terms and conditions of employment.
