Participation in Professional Association. A. 1. a. Any registered nurse who is now or may hereafter become a member of Minnesota Nurses Association shall, during the life of this Agreement, remain a member of the Minnesota Nurses Association in good standing as a condition of employment. "In good standing," for the purpose of this Agreement, is defined to mean the payment of a standard initiation fee and standard regular monthly dues, uniformly required as a condition of acquiring or retaining membership in Minnesota Nurses Association.

Participation in Professional Association. The Hospital will advise all new nurses at the time of employment that the Association is their bargaining representative and will notify the Association in writing at the end of each month of the name, address and classification of each new registered nurse who is still in its employ. The Hospital recognizes the right of any nurse to become a member of the Association and will not discourage, discriminate or in any other way interfere with the right of any nurse to become a member of the Association and will not discourage, discriminate or in any other way interfere with the right of any nurse to become and remain a member of the Association. The Hospital agrees to deduct on a weekly basis the annual Association membership dues from the earnings of any registered nurse who has executed an authorized form. Such deductions shall be in the amount certified by the Association and shall be made in accordance with the terms of said authorization form. Withheld amount will be forwarded to the designated Association office by the 20th of the calendar month following the actual withholding, together with a record of the amount and the names of those for whom deductions have been made. During their orientation period, newly employed nurses shall be introduced to the bargaining unit, the chairperson, or designee, who shall be allowed a reasonable period of time to address them.
Participation in Professional Association. The Association Chairperson, or designee, will be allowed twenty (20) minutes to inform new nurses, at the time of their orientation, of the Association's status within the Hospital; such time will be compensated if the nurse was otherwise scheduled to work. The Hospital will provide the Association in writing, with an alphabetical listing of members of the bargaining unit, their dates of hire and addresses, and the names of any nurses who have terminated in the preceding month, as well as the names of any nurses who have been hired in the preceding month, their current unit, and base hourly rate of pay. The Hospital recognizes the right of any nurse to become a member of the Association and will not discourage, discriminate, or, in any other way, interfere with the right of any nurse to become and remain a member of the Association. The Association agrees that it will not discriminate against any nurse for failure to join or remain a member of the Association.

  • Association Participation Employee Represented - The Board acknowledges the right of the Association's grievance representative to participate in the processing of a grievance at any level, and no employee shall be required to discuss any grievance if the Association's representative is not present.

The President will coordinate the visits with the offices of the principals in order to facilitate the purpose of this visit. Visits that are made to solve special problems of teachers will be arranged in advance by notifying the office of the principal.

  • Hospital-Association Committee (a) There shall be a Hospital-Association Committee comprised of representatives of the Hospital, one of whom shall be the Chief Nursing Officer or designate and of the Association, one of whom shall be the Bargaining Unit President or designate. The number of representatives is set out in the Appendix of Local Provisions and the membership of the Committee may be expanded by mutual agreement.

  • Non-Participation in Insurance Your initials on this clause of the Agreement acknowledges the Patient’s understanding that neither the CLINIC, nor its Physician, participate in any health insurance or HMO plans or panels and cannot accept Medicare eligible patients. We make no representations that any fees that You pay under this Agreement are covered by your health insurance or other third party payment plans.   • Professional Dress In as much as teachers are role models for students, each teacher shall maintain a neat, professional appearance appropriate for his/her specific teaching assignment.

  • PROFESSIONAL DUES OR FEES AND PAYROLL DEDUCTIONS 5.1 Any unit member who is a member of the Association, or who has applied for membership, may sign and deliver to the District an assignment authorizing deduction of unified membership dues, initiation fees, and general assessments of the Association. Pursuant to such authorization, the District shall deduct one-tenth of such dues from the regular salary check of the bargaining unit member each month for ten (10) months. Deductions for bargaining unit members who sign such authorization after the commencement of the school year shall be appropriately pro-rated to complete payments by the end of the school year.

  • Association Interview The Association will be allowed to interview newly employed nurses during the Hospital’s general orientation and, when possible, be notified of the date for the interview at least two (2) weeks in advance.

  • Broad Participation Retirement Fund A fund established in The Bahamas to provide retirement, disability, or death benefits, or any combination thereof, to beneficiaries that are current or former employees (or persons designated by such employees) of one or more employers in consideration for services rendered, provided that the fund:

The Board will provide the Association President or their designee with forty (40) days of paid released time during the course of the school year in order to conduct Association Business. The Association shall reimburse the Board for the cost of any substitute required as the result of any such released time which exceeds forty (40) days during the course of the school year.

  • Association Membership In accordance with applicable laws, the Employer/Appointing Authority shall not discriminate against, interfere with, restrain or coerce an employee from exercising his/her right to join or not to join the Association, or participate in an official capacity on behalf of the Association, which is in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement. The Association shall not discriminate against, interfere with, restrain or coerce an employee from exercising the right to join or not to join the Association, and will not discriminate against any employee in the administration of this Agreement because of non-membership in the Association.
