Letter of Resignation. If an employee wishes to resign from employment, a letter of resignation shall be submitted to the immediate supervisor and the District Human Resource Office. The intended effective date of resignation shall be specified in the letter as the last day in paid status.

Academic Needs 2 (Career Index Adjustment) is defined as the need to assure a succession planning process when a teacher retires that minimizes impact on students.  Employees who have been rated effective or highly effective on the most recent evaluation are eligible under this Academic Needs 2 factor for an additional salary computation provided they are 100% vested for retirement benefits, as per section 11.02A Vesting, by the date of the initial career index adjustment payment. An employee may request a one-time Career Index Adjustment of .15 of the starting salary in Xxxxxxxx X- 0, 70% of which is based on earning an effective or highly effective evaluation and 30% of which is based on employee’s experience (10 years of experience is required to receive 30% of this increase).  This index adjustment would be the basis of payment (a base salary adjustment) to the employee’s contract for that year and (up to) the subsequent four (4) school years, provided that the following conditions are met at the time the request for the Career Index Adjustment i...
