Hiring Commitment i. Teach For America will use its reasonable efforts to provide the number of teacher candidates for employment with School District (“Teachers”) set forth in Appendix A (the “Agreed Number”), attached and hereby incorporated hereto, but Teach For America cannot and does not guarantee its ability to provide the full Agreed Number of Teachers to School District and the failure of Teach For America to provide the full Agreed Number of Teachers for any academic year shall not constitute a breach of this Agreement for any purpose whatsoever.

Hiring Commitment i. Teach For America will use its reasonable efforts to provide teacher candidates for employment with Seattle Public Schools as set forth in Appendix A.
Hiring Commitment. The OPERATOR commits to make good faith efforts to hire qualified Holyoke residents whenever feasible for any employment opportunities that become available. Implementation of the Commitment shall include collaborating with CareerPoint, Holyoke Works, Holyoke Community College, and other available resources within the City of Holyoke to train and/or recruit residents of Holyoke for all employment opportunities. Methods to recruit employees may include collaboration with local labor unions and other recruitment efforts, such as a neighborhood job fair, and posting of notices of opening at strategic locations, including notifying local community organizations about job opportunities. Upon commencing operations and within thirty (30) days of the start of the calendar year for each year this Agreement remains in effect, the OPERATOR will provide the CITY with an annual report for each previous year containing the following information: (1) the OPERATOR’s employment level;(2) the number of Holyoke residents employed, and; (3) a description of the measures taken to fulfill this workforce hiring commitment.
Hiring Commitment. The Company will continue with its hiring commitment in Letter of Agreement 19-02. That agreement noted that going forward, the Company will not be required to hire more than 150 Apprentice Linemen in any year, unless the ratios so permit, and the Company determines in its sole judgment that the operational needs would be suited by hiring more than 150 Apprentice Linemen. The parties agree to this commitment through the year 2020. Ratios The Company agrees to hire the maximum number of Apprentice Linemen that it can hire without exceeding the ratio below:

Any Teach For America Teacher hired by the School District shall be hired as the classroom teacher of record and not for substitute, auxiliary, resource or teacher’s aide positions. Teach For America Teachers will be considered by School District for vacancies across the full range of grades and subject matters and not restricted or limited to so-called “critical” or “shortage” subjects or grade level vacancies. School District and Teach For America shall collaborate in good faith to identify individual schools within School District appropriate for Teachers. In order to be considered an appropriate school (a “Partner School”) for placement of a Teacher, (i) the school’s student population must be considered high poverty relative to the student population elsewhere in the district or that fifty percent or more of the school’s student population receives free or reduced lunch and (ii) the school must have sufficient vacancies to enable the hiring/placement of at least two Teachers in the same academic year. To the extent reasonably practicable, School District will employ two or more Teachers per individual Partner School. Hiring Process.
