Teacher of record definition

Teacher of record means a teacher who meets all of the following:
Teacher of record means an individual (or individuals in co-teaching assignments) who has been assigned the lead responsibility for a student’s learning in a subject/course with aligned performance measures.
Teacher of record means the teacher who is employed by a provider and to whom students are assigned for purposes of reporting and data submissions to the Superintendent in accordance with Section R277-484-3.

Examples of Teacher of record in a sentence

  • This arrangement requires approval from the Superintendent after providing written expectations to the Long-Term Teacher of Record.

  • Non-Credentialed (No Current Substitute Teacher Permit): Supporting the Teacher of Record is expected to assist with lesson planning, IEP’s and benchmark supporting work to the Teacher of Record before or after regularly scheduled work hours.

  • During the time of this arrangement, the Daily Substitute Teacher of Record is responsible for the Teacher’s responsibilities (examples: IEP’s, lesson plans, benchmark work, parent communications, etc).

  • Stipend payment of $100.00/month if the employee works at least 10 days per month that qualifies and is approved to be the Long Term Teacher of Record due to the shortage.

  • During the time of this arrangement, the Long-Term Teacher of Record is responsible for the Teacher’s responsibilities (examples: IEP’s, lesson plans, benchmark work, parent communications, etc).


More Definitions of Teacher of record

Teacher of record means a teacher who holds a valid Michigan teaching certificate; who, if applicable, is endorsed in the subject area and grade of the course; and is responsible for providing instruction, determining instructional methods for each pupil, diagnosing learning needs, assessing pupil learning, prescribing intervention strategies, reporting outcomes, and evaluating the effects of instruction and support strategies. Until February 1, 2020, if the district partners with an education management organization for the program, the teacher of record may be employed by or contracted through the education management organization.
Teacher of record means a teacher to whom the academic growth of a student in a course or other learning experience is attributed, in whole or in part, as described in Section 7(2).
