Pre-Service Training Clause Samples
Pre-Service Training. Prior to entering the classroom, all Teachers will undergo pre-service training at Teach For America Institutes, which are designed and delivered by Teach For America in order to prepare Teachers for this work.

Pre-Service Training. Prior to entering the classroom, all Teachers will undergo pre-service training at Teach For America Memphis Regional Institute, which is designed and delivered by Teach For America in order to prepare Teachers for teaching. Attendance on each day of this training is mandatory as it is a required component of Teacher certification in the state of Tennessee. Teachers who do not complete the pre-service training shall be ineligible for hire by School District.

Highly Qualified Status. Teach For America will provide the described pre-service training to Teachers presented to School District for the purpose of ensuring that such Teachers meet the “highly qualified” teacher requirements set forth in the federal No Child Left Behind Act of 2001and applicable state regulations (together, the “Requirements”). For purposes of this Section E, only those Requirements in effect at the time that the Teacher is offered employment by School District will be applicable, including compliance with the provisions of the School District’s Corrective Action Plan for school’s in restructuring as identified in the School District’s Educational Plan for Student Success (EPSS). Pre-Service Training. Prior to entering the classroom, all Teachers, will undergo late spring and summer pre- service training with Teach For America (“Pre-Service Training”), in order to prepare Teachers for this work. Pre-Service Training (Practicum) is a full-time, six-week, in-person summer school teaching experience (200+ hours of training) that supports corps members in becoming successful classroom teacher-leaders. Armed with the basics of teacher training and planning, on-grade level content and rigor, testing and assessments, a foundational understanding of the Science of Reading, feedback cycles on their teaching, classrooms and student interactions that our Fellows directly apply while teaching, they also engaging in asynchronous learning. They complete 9 graduate course hours, receive both region-led and centralized coaching and development to better familiarize themselves with their placement district, and begin to build pedagogical skills and relationships within their teaching cohort.
Pre-Service Training. The Employer shall ensure that all new employees in their department shall receive at least the minimum pre-service training required by the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities prior to providing services. Upon completion of pre-service training, the Employer shall distribute certification of completion to the new employee and his/her personnel file, and shall provide verification to the President of the Association.
