Educational Leave With Pay. 25.2.1 A full-time covered employee who has completed six (6) years of continuous employment at the CCSNH and has satisfactory job performance in his/her current position is eligible to apply for an educational leave with pay. Such application shall be made in accordance with CCSNH policies and procedures. Approval of an educational leave with pay shall not be unreasonably denied.
Educational Leave With Pay. (1) An employee granted educational leave under Article 14.6(b)(3) may receive up to 100% of his/her basic salary.

The Board shall establish and dispense an Educational Leave Fund in the amount of one half per cent (0.5%) of the annual teachers’ payroll section of the budget as of September 30 of the current year. This shall be the amount budgeted for salary and benefit payments to the Educational Leave Trust Fund for teachers on leave under this section.
Educational Leave With Pay. 17.6.1 A permanent Teacher may be granted a leave of absence at the discretion of the Chancellor with one-half (1/2) of his/her salary after six (6) continuous years of service in the Public Schools of the District of Columbia to pursue full-time graduate study in a program approved by DCPS.
Educational Leave With Pay. A. Upon written application to the Superintendent and approval by the Board, a member may be granted a leave of absence for professional improvement for one school year or two (2) semesters with pay.
Educational Leave With Pay. 1. Leave of absence with pay may be granted for the purpose of further educational studies or other professional development (pursuant to the School Act) on the following bases:
Educational Leave With Pay a. Provided the Board has determined that funds are available, the Board may grant educational leave with pay to persons pursuing courses of studies designed to fulfill identified educational needs within the District.

Leaves of absence with pay to attend workshops, conventions, or other training programs may be available upon request to the building Principal or department administrator with approval of the Director of Human Resources. Expense allowances for meals, lodging, and travel may be granted for such leave according to District policy. An employee may be granted educational leave in which his/her department may defray a part or all of the cost of the education, either through allotment or payment of a salary. Each request for leave must be submitted to the employee’s department director or administrator, who normally shall not approve such leave for more than one (l) year. Vacation leave shall not accrue during an educational leave with pay that exceeds fifteen (15) calendar days.
