Climate Survey. 1. Section II of the survey will gather feedback from teachers and special service providers regarding the overall climate in any/all individual buildings and District-level departments which an individual is assigned. The survey will include the following three (3) open-ended questions:

Climate Survey. A district climate survey will be distributed to all employees of USD 335 prior to November 1 of each school year. The survey will be written by North Xxxxxxx-NEA and given to the Board of Education for review prior to distribution. District employees will complete the survey and submit it to the NJ-NEA president by December 1. Results will be compiled by NJ-NEA, and a summary of the survey will be given to the Board of Education before Christmas break.
Climate Survey. Within 60 days of this Agreement, the District will develop and submit for OCR’s review and approval a school climate survey for students in grades six through eight as well as for all District administrators, counselors and instructional staff responsible for grades six through eight in order to assess the presence and effect of harassment, including race-based harassment, at the District in these grades. The survey will be administered by December 31, 2017. The District will review the results of the survey within 60 days of its administration. Based on a review of the results of the survey the District will work in good faith to determine appropriate corrective actions by the District to address all climate issues related to harassment, including race-based harassment, identified through the survey and the analysis. Any corrective action will be implemented within 60 days of the completion of the survey review.

By October 31, 2016, and annually thereafter, the District will conduct a “climate check” with students and staff at the School to assess the presence of and effects of disability harassment. This climate check may be accomplished through written or electronic survey, provided that students receiving the survey also are notified of a contact person, such as a counselor, should they wish to discuss this issue in person. If this method is selected, the written survey must be provided to OCR for review and approval prior to its use. Participation in the survey by students will be entirely voluntary, and the survey will be conducted in a manner consistent with applicable law.

The District will develop a climate survey for its high school students designed to: assess students’ attitudes and knowledge about harassment on the basis of sex; gather information about students’ experiences with sexual harassment; determine whether students know when and how to report sexual harassment; and assess the effectiveness of steps taken by the District to address and prevent sexual harassment. REPORTING REQUIREMENT: By , the District will provide OCR a copy of its proposed climate survey required by Item 4 of the Agreement for review and approval by OCR. Along with submitting the proposed climate survey, the District will provide a written explanation of how the District intends to distribute, collect, and utilize the results of the survey.
Climate Survey. By October 31, 2018, the District will prepare and conduct a climate survey which it will administer to the students enrolled in the social studies and science classes (as well as any other class) taught by the Substitute Teacher during the 2016-2017 school year, to measure their perceptions in connection with racial harassment.

Climate Survey. During the 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 school years, the District will conduct a climate survey for School students and staff, to assess the educational environment being provided for School students and the presence and effect of harassment based on sex within the School. This climate survey should, among other things, solicit input from School students and staff regarding strategies for improving cultural awareness, preventing harassment and discrimination on campus, and identifying School staff members to whom students feel comfortable reporting sex based discrimination and harassment complaints, including on the bases of sexual stereotyping and gender expression. The climate survey may be accomplished through written or electronic surveys, provided that students receiving the survey are notified of a contact person, such as a counselor, should they wish to discuss any of the questions in the survey in person. Participation in the survey by students will be entirely voluntary, and the survey will be conducted in a manner consistent with applicable law.
Climate Survey. 9) Within 30 days after the University’s proposed survey is approved by OCR, , the University will conduct a climate survey to assess the effectiveness of the steps taken pursuant to this Agreement, and otherwise by the University, to achieve its goal of having a school environment free of sexual harassment. The University will send a survey to each student that contains questions about the student’s knowledge of sexual harassment policies and procedures and any experiences with sexual harassment while attending the University, and the student’s awareness of the University’s sexual harassment policies and procedures and resources available for students. Information gathered through these climate surveys will be used to inform further steps taken by the University. REPORTING REQUIREMENT: By October 15, 2015, the University will submit to OCR for approval the proposed climate survey. Within 60 days of completion of the survey, the University will provide OCR the results of the survey and provide for OCR’s review and approval a description of all actions the University plans to take as a result.
Climate Survey. By March 13, 2015, the District will develop a school climate survey for students in grades 6 through 12 and for all District administrators, counselors and instructional staff responsible for grades 6 through 12 to assess the presence and effect of harassment, including racial harassment, at the District in grades 6 through 12. The District will submit the climate survey to OCR by March 27, 2015. OCR will review the climate survey and make suggested revisions, as necessary. The District agrees to conduct the climate survey, using the climate survey as revised by OCR, if applicable, by May 22, 2015. The District will review the results of the survey within 30 days of its administration. Based on a review of the results of the surveys, the District will take appropriate corrective actions to address all climate issues related to harassment, including racial harassment, identified through the surveys and the analysis. The corrective action, if necessary, will be implemented within 60 days of the completion of the survey review. REPORTING REQUIREMENT: Within 30 days of the identification of the corrective action to be taken (or the determination that no corrective action is necessary), the District with provide OCR with a copy of the results of the survey and corrective action plan.
