APPRENTICESHIP COMMITTEE Sample Clauses

APPRENTICESHIP COMMITTEE. The central parties agree that within sixty (60) days of the commencement of this agreement, a joint local committee consisting of up to three representatives each will be formed to discuss the feasibility of establishing an apprenticeship program(s). If such a program is deemed feasible, the local parties will determine the terms and conditions of such program(s). The joint local committee will seek the availability of any federal or provincial funds to cover the costs of such programs.

APPRENTICESHIP COMMITTEE. The City and the Union agree to renew the Apprenticeship Committee from the 2007 settlement and to amend the report out date to “annually”.
APPRENTICESHIP COMMITTEE. The Employer and the Union agree to establish an Apprenticeship Committee consisting of not more than three (3) representatives of the Union and three (3) representatives of the Employer. The Committee shall meet as often as necessary to study, review and discuss the viability of an apprenticeship program at the City of Burnaby and where the Employer determines such a program is viable, the Committee shall review and discuss the various aspects related to the implementation of such program. The Committee shall report its findings and recommendations by 2004 July 01 to their respective principals. Such recommendations may be implemented by mutual agreement of the parties.
APPRENTICESHIP COMMITTEE. A. The Apprenticeship Committee is the administrative body of the Apprenticeship training activities in the painting industry in the area covered by this Agreement. In addition to the above, the Apprenticeship Committee may accept as part of its responsibilities a journeyman up-grading, certification, and testing program in any and all phases of the industry.

APPRENTICESHIP COMMITTEE. (a) Northgate Minerals Corporation will undertake where practical to train a limited number of apprentices while working directly with the Industry Training and Apprenticeship Commission (ITAC), or any other successor organization designated by the government, that is responsible for all apprenticeship training in British Columbia. All training and examinations will be held in British Columbia.

APPRENTICESHIP COMMITTEE. The Apprenticeship Committee composed of an equal number of representatives of the Coordinating Committee Steel Companies and the Union shall be continued. The Committee shall review the contents of the existing apprenticeship programs for the purpose of (1) developing uniform standards relating to educational attainment through classroom or similar study by apprenticeship periods, (2) developing uniform standards relating to on-the-job work achievement and the time schedules of required experience by type and/or class of work by apprenticeship periods, and (3) developing uniform standards for determining the level, if any, of advanced apprenticeship credit to be allocated to employees transferring to an apprenticeship program from a related job. A report of its determinations, or a detailed report of the areas of disagreement in the event it fails to arrive at agreed determinations, shall be presented to the Chairman of the Coordinating Committee Steel Companies and the President of the Union who shall resolve such disagreement. The agreed standards shall thereafter be adopted by letter agreement between the Chairman of the Coordinating Committee Steel Companies and the President of the Union, and shall provide (1) the criteria for advancement from one apprenticeship period to the next, and (2) the criteria for determining the level, if any, of advanced apprenticeship credit to be allocated to employees transferring to an apprenticeship program from a related job. Pending the development of the aforementioned standards and their adoption, the existing apprenticeship programs and such new programs as may be added shall continue.
