Transaction of Association Business. Duly authorized representatives of the Association and its affiliates may transact Association business on school property at any time before, after or during the regular school day; provided, however, that no such business shall be transacted on any class time. Association business shall not in any way interfere with scheduled student-teacher, parent-teacher, or administrator-teacher conferences or other school functions or activities. All visitors, including Association representatives, must report to the building office during teaching hours and sign in before transacting such business.

Transaction of Association Business. Duly authorized representatives of the Association shall be permitted to hold meetings, have an office, and to transact official Association business on school property at all reasonable times, provided this shall not interfere with or interrupt normal school operations. When requested, time for transacting Association business shall be granted at faculty meetings. A duly authorized representative of the Association and a building administrator will meet monthly to discuss current and emerging labor concerns. The MIEA Building Representative will bring workload issues as an agenda item to the monthly meetings with the principal. The Association may use District facilities and equipment including typewriters, computers, duplicating equipment, calculating machines, and all types of audio-visual equipment at reasonable times when such equipment is not otherwise in use. The Association shall have the right to utilize the bulletin board or place an Association bulletin board in each faculty lounge in each building in the District. The Association shall have the right to use the District mail service and employee mail boxes for communication purposes provided the material is identified as Association material. The Association and its representatives shall have access to all District buildings during regular working hours, or as otherwise scheduled, to confer with Association members. In conferring with members during working hours, the Association shall confer with the employee's supervisor concerning appropriate times. The Association shall be granted two (2) days a month after school other than Friday exclusively for Association meetings. These and other meetings of the Association shall appear on the District's meeting schedule for the year so as to minimize time conflicts between Association and District activities.
Transaction of Association Business. Duly authorized representatives of the SPEA, MCEA or NJEA shall be permitted to enter any school building during the school day in order to carry out the appropriate SPEA business, provided that such activity is not conducted during working hours or does not interfere with the conduct of normal school business or the duties of any aide. Any representative who enters any school building shall notify the principal or his/her designee of such representative's arrival and departure.
Transaction of Association Business on Medical Center premises will be confined exclusively to the provisions of this article and will not occur on the working time of RNs. Communications between RNs on their non-working time in non-working areas are not covered by this paragraph.
