Class Time Clause Samples

The "Class Time" clause defines the specific periods during which classes or instructional sessions are scheduled to occur. It typically outlines the days of the week, start and end times, and may specify exceptions such as holidays or breaks. For example, it might state that classes are held Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, excluding public holidays. This clause ensures that both parties have a clear understanding of when educational services will be provided, thereby preventing scheduling conflicts and misunderstandings.
Class Time. Unless there are extenuating circumstances, classroom professors shall be at assigned teaching locations ready to conduct class prior to the scheduled time for the beginning of each class, and shall not, without authorization, dismiss any class before the scheduled time of adjournment.
Class Time. If an employee attends a class which extends more than one day, the number of hours spent in class, and travel time shall be averaged. If the time spent in class, traveling, and on duty for those days averages less than 8 hours per day, then the employee will receive no additional compensation; if the time spent averages more than 8 hours per day, then the employee shall be paid at the applicable overtime rate for those average hours in excess of eight (8).
