Conference Period. Each teacher who teaches in both the high school area and elementary area shall have a conference/planning time during the school day. Said conference/planning time shall be arranged as in 1 or 2 above.

Conference Period. All teachers (grades 5-12) shall be entitled, during the student day, to a duty-free planning/conference period. This will not apply to “block” schedules. All elementary bargaining unit members (grades PreK-4) shall be entitled, during the student day, to at least 45 minutes per day or two hundred twenty-five (225) minutes per week of duty-free planning/conference time. Administration will make every attempt to have the conference period be at least 45 consecutive minutes. No teacher conference period shall be scheduled for less than twenty (20) consecutive minutes. Lunchtime shall not count toward the planning time entitlement. Bargaining unit members who are required to supervise students during the bargaining unit member's planning period(s) due to the absence/unavailability of teachers, shall be compensated at the rate of ten dollars ($10.00) per half hour and twenty dollars ($20.00) per full period. Bargaining unit members who are required to supervise students for the equivalent of four (4) periods in one day shall be compensated at the equivalent of the Board-approved half-day substitute teacher rate. Bargaining unit members who are required to supervise students for the equivalent of five (5) or more periods in one day shall be compensated at the equivalent of the Board-approved full-day substitute teacher rate. Bargaining unit members shall not otherwise be required to supervise students during the bargaining unit member's planning period. Every attempt will be made to allow teachers two (2) days notice, if requested, to attend an IEP meeting with parents. Every attempt will be made to not pull teachers out of the classroom during instructional time with students. Subject to parental availability, the Board will attempt to schedule IEPs in a way that is not unduly disruptive to the teacher. The final fifteen (15) minutes in grades K-4 shall not be counted as part of the minimum planning time for the homeroom teachers, unless the teacher agrees otherwise. Conference Period. Employees may leave the building if the employee notifies the building principal or his/her designee indicating where they may be reached if needed. If in the judgment of the principal an individual employee is abusing this privilege, it may be withheld pending appeal to the Superintendent's judgment.

  • Conference Committee The Conference Committee shall meet at least quarterly. It shall consist of the three elected representatives of the nurses plus one clinical unit representative appointed by the nurse bargaining unit, and an Association staff member, and five representatives of the Employer to include the Chief Nursing Executive and/or designee and one member of the Employer’s contract negotiating team. The purpose of the Conference Committee is to act in an advisory capacity to xxxxxx problem solving through communications between the Employer and nurses in the bargaining unit and deal with matters of nursing practice and general concern to the parties. Major organizational or policy changes in the nursing department that have a direct bearing on nursing practice or working conditions shall be an appropriate subject for discussion by the Conference Committee.   • Post-Observation Conference 1. The post- observation conference between the evaluator and teacher will be held no later than ten (10) days after the formal observation.
