THE EMPLOYER SHALL ACQUAINT NEW EMPLOYEES. The Employer agrees to acquaint all new employees with the fact that an Agreement between the parties is in effect and with the conditions of employment set out in Articles 5 and 6 dealing with Union Security and Dues Checkoff. Shop Stewards shall be notified by the Employer of new employees in their department within five (5) working days of the employee’s hire. New employees shall be presented with a copy of the Agreement by the Employer and with the name and address of their shop xxxxxxx on commencement of employment.

For the purpose of satisfying the Employer’s obligation under this clause, Employees may be given electronic access to this agreement.
