SICK LEAVE CREDIT AND ACCUMULATION. (a) Each teacher shall be credited with twenty (20) days of sick leave on the first working day of the school year. The unused balance of the twenty (20) days of sick leave shall be accumulated at the end of the school year to the teacher's sick leave account. The sick leave credits for each teacher will be carried forward to the Board from the boards in existence prior to January 1, 1998.
SICK LEAVE CREDIT AND ACCUMULATION. From and after July 1, 1996, all employees shall be given credit for one hundred and forty-four (144) unearned, but usable sick leave hours. These hours will be placed in a usable bank to be utilized first by the employee in the case of illness. Employees in their first year of employment shall receive a prorated usable bank equal to the rate of twelve (12) hours per full month remaining in the fiscal year for twenty-four (24) hour employees and eight (8) hours for full months remaining in the fiscal year for eight (8) and ten (10) hour employees. Employees shall not be eligible to accrue, utilize or receive credit for any sick leave benefits while on layoff, disability leave outlined in Article 10.04, or an unpaid leave of absence of thirty (30) consecutive calendar days or more. For those employees who terminate the employment relationship between the employee and the City prior to the end of the fiscal year, any unearned, but used sick leave hours shall be reimbursed, by the employee, to the City, through a deduction from the last paycheck or termination payout received by the employee.

  • Sick Leave Credit ‌ All employees will be able to draw on a block of nine days' sick leave when they commence employment. If all or part of this block of sick leave is used it will be paid back as sick leave is accumulated. If an employee ceases employment and has a negative balance in sick leave credits, this amount will be deducted from his/her final paycheque.

  • Sick Leave Credits Regular employees who have completed their probationary period will accrue sick leave credits at the rate of one day per month to a maximum of 156 days. Upon completion of their probationary period, an employee will be credited with sick leave back to the employee's starting date. Upon request, an employee will be advised in writing of the balance of their sick leave credits.

  • Accumulation of Vacation Leave Credits 31.1.1 An employee shall earn in respect of each fiscal year, annual vacation leave with pay at the following rates for each calendar month in which the employee receives at least seventy-five (75) hours’ pay:

  • Unused Sick Leave The accrual of unused sick leave hours is unlimited. The City and the Union commit to the evaluation and establishment of a mutually beneficial non-use of sick leave incentive and pay-out policy. Until such time that a policy is established, accumulated sick leave shall be compensated as follows: Upon retirement from the City service, an employee shall be paid sixty percent (60%) of his accumulated sick leave, with the rate of payment based upon his regular pay at the time he retires. Upon the death of an employee, his beneficiary shall be paid sixty percent (60%) of his accumulated unused sick leave, with the payment based upon his regular pay at the date of his death.

  • Vacation Accumulation (a) Vacations are not cumulative from year to year.

  • Pay for Unused Sick Leave Unused sick leave not to exceed 70 days will be paid at the rate of $50 per day when the teacher retires or leaves U.S.D. 506 employment, provided the teacher has a minimum of 10 years of service in U.S.D. 506. Article VI: Activity Ticket Each teacher of U.S.D. 506 shall be issued an activity ticket, which shall be honored at all regular school functions held within the district. Said ticket shall not be honored at basketball tournaments and special events. Said ticket shall be honored for employee, spouse, and children who have not yet graduated from high school. The Board of Education will have an expectation that those teachers in attendance at school functions will assume a reasonable amount of general supervision as needed.

  • Restoration of Sick Leave Credit Employees who have been separated from state service and return to a position (except as temporary employees) within two (2) years shall have unused sick leave credits accrued during previous employment restored.
