A teaching period shall be considered to be forty-five (45) minutes. A teacher may request to teach a sixth period. Any teacher teaching more than five periods per day shall receive one and one-half (1.5) times their per diem rate as defined in Article 32, for each period above five. 8-5-1-1 The maximum class size in grades six (6) through twelve (12) shall not exceed thirty-five (35) twenty (20) students under any circumstance. It is vital and imperative that the majority of citizens are protected from any emergency situation which threatens public health and safety, as determined by the County.
