Extra Assignment. An extra assignment is when a bus is moved without transporting children or when a Bus Driver substitutes for the Courier.
Extra Assignment. Applicants for Summer School and Adult Education credit course teaching assignments will be considered on the basis of: 1) being a member of the department and grade level under which the class title falls; 2) certificated to teach the subject and, at the high school level, qualified under NCA; 3) number of summer school or adult education classes, in the department, previously taught in the district; and 4) length of service in the district, in that order of priority. Insofar as possible, teachers will be offered two (2) consecutive classes at the same location. No teacher shall be required to teach a split schedule, or less than two (2) hours in the summer school.
Extra Assignment. For purposes of this Agreement, an “extra assignment” is an assignment voluntarily accepted by a bargaining unit member in addition to their regular assignment as defined in Section 6.4.1, 6.4.2, 6.4.3,
Extra Assignment. A Unit Member may elect to accept a District offer for an extra assignment during an academic year (including intersessions) that involves providing to the District an additional service which is no way construed to be an assignment within the standard workload of a Unit Member.
Extra Assignment. In the event that an extra scheduled period is required in a particular content area, the teaching staff member(s) will be remunerated 14.28% based on their current base salary. This amount will be added to their base salary annually.
Extra Assignment. An employee who is on formal illness leave from his/her regular assignment must also take illness leave from his/her extra assignments unless specifically authorized to perform part-time service by the District Physician Consultant. Informal illness leave may be allowed for qualifying extra assignments (e.g. hourly rate) without reference to illness leave status of the employee in regular assignments.
Extra Assignment. Section 1. Teachers shall not be assigned to teach a subject area on a regular basis that does not fall within their area of certification.
Section 2. Teachers assigned to participate in curriculum development beyond the normal work day or work year will be paid at $30.00 per hour of work. Teachers required to complete APA portfolios shall be provided time (at the rate of one (1) hour per student per month) in their school day or be compensated at the rate stated in Article 11, Section 2. The Commission will provide teaching staff with improved software and clerical support for reporting student progress, which will reduce the amount of time necessary for document preparation. Progress toward meeting these goals will be reviewed by representatives of the Commission and the Association at least semi-annually, to further refine and, if mutually agreed, improve upon the process.
Section 3. The teacher assigned to develop and produce the school yearbook shall be provided a stipend of $600.00.
Section 4. Full-time Teacher Assistants who possess teaching certificates shall receive an additional stipend of $2,250, payable semiannually with the following responsibilities:
a. When coverage is required as a substitute teacher, or for IEP conferences, a $25 per day additional compensation shall be paid. The hours served are to be recorded and submitted after a full day has accrued. Partial payments shall be authorized at the end of each semester.
b. When coverage is needed during lunch or school wide activities which require the supervision of a certificated employee, e.g., bathroom breaks, etc., for up to one hour daily, there shall be no additional compensation.Time beyond the sixty (60) minutes daily shall be compiled and submitted in the same manner as specified in Section 4, a.
c. Part time Teacher Assistants who qualify shall receive a stipend of $2,000 per year.
