Individual Rights. Nothing contained herein shall be construed as limiting the right of any employee having a complaint to discuss the matter through administrative channels and to have the problem adjusted without the intervention of the Association, as long as the Association is notified in writing of the disposition of the matter and such disposition is not inconsistent with the terms of this Agreement.
Individual Rights. Nothing contained herein shall be construed as limiting the right of any faculty member having a grievance to have the problem adjusted without the intervention of the Association. If an aggrieved party is not represented by the Association, the Association shall have the right to be present and to state its views at all stages of the grievance procedure and to be notified in writing as to the disposition of the matter. Only the Association, on its own behalf or on behalf of one or more faculty members, may pursue a grievance to Step Three (arbitration).
