RIGHT-OF-WAY DATA. Additional right-of-way acquisition would be required to accommodate the project and involves agricultural, residential, industrial and commercial parcels. Additionally, public utility easements will be required. Compensation may be required for the loss of habitat for California Tiger Salamander, Vernal Pool Invertebrates, and Swainson’s Hawk. Compensation may also be required for the loss of farmland, oak woodland and wetlands. Potential mitigation cost estimates are included in the right-of-way cost. See Right-of-Way Data Sheets in Attachment H.

RIGHT-OF-WAY DATA. This project will require no relocations of any families, businesses, non-profit organizations or cemeteries. As the project further develops and is finalized, additional easements for maintenance, construction and utility relocations may be required beyond the proposed right of way shown on the project plans. Property owners will be informed of the exact location of these easements during the right of way acquisition process prior to construction. The right-of-way acquisition program will be conducted in accordance with the Uniform Relocation and Real Estate Property Acquisition Act of 1970, as amended. This project has been developed in accordance with Executive Order 12898, Federal Actions to Address Environmental Justice in Minority Populations and Low Income Populations. No low income or minority populations have been identified in the study area and therefore, none will be disproportionately impacted by this project. Information about right of way purchases is discussed in VDOT’s brochure entitled, “Right of Way and Utilities: A Guide for Property Owners and Tenants.” Copies of this brochure are available from a VDOT right of way agent. After this meeting, information regarding right of way may be obtained from VDOT, Bristol District Right of Way and Utilities Office Manager, Xx. Xxxx Xxxxxxx, 000 Xxxxxx Xxxx in the City of Bristol, VA 24203, or telephone (000) 000-0000 or TTY/TDD 711. Project Information In Virginia, the CFX will extend approximately 49 miles from U.S. Route 23 near Pound, Virginia to the Virginia/West Virginia Stateline, east of Slate, Virginia. The CFX, Hawks Nest Section project connects logical termini via the approved Route 460 Connector alignment to the north and State Route 614 to the east. This project location will occur between CFX Stations 1565+00 and 1645+00. It is anticipated that in the design year of 2030 the average daily traffic volume for the Hawks Nest section of CFX will be 12,800 vehicles per day on the new roadway. The CFX, Hawks Nest Section, occurs between station 1565+00 and station 1645+00, carries a functional classification of Rural Principal Arterial and has a design speed of 60 miles per hour. Alpha will develop the project through rough grade only. Future development of the proposed CFX, Hawks Nest Section will provide four 12-foot travel lanes with a 40-foot (and variable) grass median. RIGHT-OF-WAY DATA. Sheet (OPC) OPC will base all assumptions of potential impacts and needed alternative analysis on three alternatives to be delivered during the preparation of the Project Report. Based upon preliminary analysis, additional ROW and or permanent or temporary easements will be necessary for two privately owned properties and one City property with potential impacts. · Take an inventory of the affected properties. · Secure preliminary parcel information from online database sources and investigate current ownerships.
