Reduced Workload/Low Census Days. Reduced workload/low census is defined as a department’s reduced workload or decline in patient care requirements resulting in a temporary decrease in staff. During periods of reduced workload/low census, the Employer will first ask for volunteers to take time off before determining and implementing the reduced staffing schedule required. In the event there are no volunteers, the Employer will endeavor to rotate reduced workload/low census equitably among employees assigned to each unit (or functional work area) by shift, subject to skill, competence, ability and availability as determined by the Employer. If an individual volunteers to take a reduced workload/low census day off, that day off shall be counted for purposes of the rotation list. Employees who are subject to reduced workload/low census may use accrued PTO and such time off will count in the reduced workload/low census rotation. The Employer will attempt to make floating opportunities available to employees subject to reduced workload/low census. Subject to patient care or operational considerations, temporary, Travelers, and per diem employees will not normally be utilized on a unit and shift where regular employees are subject to reduced workload/low census. Reduced workload/low census days shall not alter an employee's anniversary date or accrual of benefits. With the exception of OB, OR and Imaging nurses, employees required to take a reduced workload/low census day will not be required to be on call for all or part of the shift for which they were scheduled. OB, OR, and Imaging nurses may be placed on call for all (or some other Hospital-designated portion) of their shift for which they were scheduled. The Employer will endeavor to give employees who have not yet reported to work at least one (1) hour's notice of impending reduced workload/low census days.

Reduced Workload/Low Census Days. Low census is defined as a decline in patient care requirements or workload in a particular department resulting in a temporary staff decrease and/or department/unit closure on a non-designated Employer holiday. Prior to implementing the low census procedure within a job classification, the Employer will request volunteers to float to other areas of the Hospital if the need exists. During temporary periods of low census, the Employer will first ask for volunteers within the job classification to take time off before determining and implementing the reduced staffing schedule required. In the event there are no volunteers, the Employer will rotate low census equitably with the objective of assigning low census to the employee with the least number of low- census hours taken per shift subject to availability. The Employer reserves the right to adjust the order of mandatory low-census based on the Employer's assessment as to operational and patient care needs and staffing requirements of the department. During temporary periods of mandatory low census, employees within a job classification in a department and on a shift will be released from work in the following order, providing skills, competence, and ability are considered substantially equal as determined by the Employer:

  • Four Day Work Week Schedule i. When working under the four (4) day work week schedule, Employees shall be paid at double time (2x) the regular hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of the regular ten (10) hours per day Monday through Thursday.

  • Leadwork Differential (a) Leadwork differential shall be defined as a differential for employees who have been formally assigned by their supervisor in writing, “leadwork” duties for ten (10) consecutive calendar days (or the equivalent thereof for alternate or flexible schedules) or longer provided the leadwork or team leader duties are not included in the classification specification for the employee’s position. Leadwork is where, on a recurring daily basis, the employee has been directed to perform substantially all of the following functions: to orient new employees, if appropriate; assign and reassign tasks to accomplish prescribed work efficiently; give direction to workers concerning work procedures; transmit established standards of performance to workers; review work of employees for conformance to standards; and provide informal assessment of workers’ performance to the supervisor.

  • Work Day/Work Week 1. The work week shall consist of five (5) consecutive days Monday through Friday of no more than eight (8) hours per day and no more than forty (40) hours per work week. This shall not restrict the extension of the employee’s usual and customary workday or workweek when such is necessary to carry on the business of the School District. Employees who actually work more than forty (40) hours per week will receive overtime pay (time-and-a-half).

  • Five Day Work Week Schedule When working under the five (5) day work week schedule, Employees shall receive one and one-half (1.5x) times their regular rate of pay for the first two (2) hours of overtime Monday through Friday. All other overtime Monday through Friday shall be paid at double time (2x).

  • Work Days The work day shall consist of an assigned shift within twenty-four (24) consecutive hours commencing at 12:01 a.m. Whenever practicable and consistent with program needs, employees shall work on five (5) consecutive working days separated by two (2) consecutive days off. Significant or major changes in methods of scheduling shall be first discussed with the Union before changes are made.

  • Work Day The standard work day shall be eight (8) consecutive hours of work exclusive of a lunch period in a consecutive twenty-four (24) hour day.

  • Snow Days ‌ If an employee, after good faith efforts, is unable to report to work for their scheduled duty period because of weather conditions, the employee may utilize paid time off.

  • Four Day Work Week 26 1. If a holiday falls on an employee's first or second scheduled day 27 off, the preceding work day will be observed as that employee's holiday, or the 28 employee may choose to bank the holiday leave hours.

  • Requesting Price Increase/Required Documentation Contractor must submit a written notification at least thirty (30) calendar days prior to the requested effective date of the change, setting the amount of the increase, along with an itemized list of any increased prices, showing the Contractor’s current price, revised price, the actual dollar difference and the percentage of the price increase by line item. Price change requests must include H-GAC Forms D Offered Item Pricing and E Options Pricing, or the documentation used to submit pricing in the original Response and be supported with substantive documentation (e.g. manufacturer's price increase notices, copies of invoices from suppliers, etc.) clearly showing that Contractor's actual costs have increased per the applicable line item bid. The Producer Price Index (PPI) may be used as partial justification, subject to approval by H-GAC, but no price increase based solely on an increase in the PPI will be allowed. This documentation should be submitted in Excel format to facilitate analysis and updating of the website. The letter and documentation must be sent to the Bids and Specifications manager, Xxxxxxx Xxxxxx, at Xxxxxxx.Xxxxxx@x-xxx.xxx Review/Approval of Requests If H-GAC approves the price increase, Contractor will be notified in writing; no price increase will be effective until Contractor receives this notice. If H-GAC does not approve Contractor’s price increase, Contractor may terminate its performance upon sixty (60) days advance written notice to H-GAC, however Contractor must fulfill any outstanding Purchase Orders. Termination of performance is Contractor’s only remedy if H-GAC does not approve the price increase. H-GAC reserves the right to accept or reject any price change request.
