Snow Days. If an employee after good faith efforts is unable to report to work for their scheduled duty period because of weather conditions, and if a disaster due to weather is declared by the governor or the Grand Traverse County Chairman of the Board of Commissioners, the employee at the employee's option may take a day's leave without pay or work on a pass day to make up the lost day, or may utilize an accumulated sick leave day or vacation day.
Snow Days. When notification has been made by public media or supervisory personnel that school and/or administration offices are closed and that the employee need not report to work, as many as two days each year shall be available as a district-designated holiday. A district-designated holiday is a day on which notification has been made by public media or supervisory personnel that school and/or administration offices are closed, that the employee need not report to work, and is a day of service that will not be provided to the district at a later date. If a day of service is subsequently scheduled on another day, compensation received for the district-designated holiday will be charged to the subsequently scheduled day. An employee absent on the subsequently scheduled day shall utilize appropriate leave or vacation benefits or will be deducted salary for that absence. An employee who works on a district-designated holiday will receive pay for the holiday. When notification has been made that school and/or offices are to be closed and an employee has already been compensated for both district-designated holidays, then secretarial/clerical employees will not report for work and will not be paid for the day or days that schools are closed. However, a remaining vacation day or days may be used upon written request of an employee in lieu of salary deduction for days missed in excess of both district- designated holidays.
Snow Days. (a) The Company will make an assessment of the driving conditions on any given scheduled working day, and if the Company decides to cancel road tests, employees will not be sent home until at least 4 hours after the start of their shift as per the reporting pay provision of the Collective Agreement.
Snow Days. Section 1. Ten-month employees are not required to report for work when school is closed because of snow. Personnel who were scheduled to work on those days will have no loss in pay no matter how many hours a week they work.

Both parties recognize that if the New Xxxxxxx Area Public Schools cannot meet the required minimum number of days of student instruction for purposes of complying with state law, so as to qualify the School District for full state aid, then the Board will add additional days necessary to meet the annual instructional minimum required by law. Snow Days. With the exception of any Public Works employee, an employee who is unable to attend work due to inclement weather shall be permitted two (2) days off per annum without loss of pay. Instead of days off due to inclement weather, full-time Public Works employees shall receive one (1) lieu day off with pay to be scheduled at a mutually convenient time between May 1st and September 30th.
Snow Days. 13.14.1.1 When district facilities are closed because of snow or other hazards and the closure is authorized by the Superintendent, all employees will receive pay for the absence if the snow day was a scheduled work day for the employee.

If the Adventure Club site remains open on a day when the District declares a snow day and classes in the District are canceled, Adventure Club Education Assistants who work at that site will report to work as soon as conditions for travel are safe unless told by a supervisor not to report. Those Education Assistants who are scheduled and do report to work shall receive one and one-half times the regular rate of pay for the hours worked that day. Those who are not needed to report to work will be paid for their regular number of hours, if they were normally scheduled to work.

The Neighborhood Early Childhood Center will make the call to close for snow days based on a number of factors to include but not limited to; severity of storms, local area School System closings, availability of staff, and local and state infrastructure (e.g. Banks, City Offices, State Departments). The Neighborhood Early Childhood Center staff may choose to open during storms; however, the safety of staff, children and parents may cause The Neighborhood Early Childhood Center to close early. Tuition is required for all snow days, full or half. Natural Disasters In the event of a natural disaster (e.g. windstorms, ice storms) that result in The Neighborhood Early Childhood Center closing for an extended period of time, full tuition is required.
