Personal Paid Days. 16.01 Employees who have completed one (1) continu- ous year of service shall be entitled to a maximum of thirty-seven and one half (37½) hours. Qualified employees will become eligible for five (5) personal paid days on January 1st of each year. Such hours shall be accumulated on the basis of three point sev- en five (3.75) hours per month of active service and must be taken within the calendar year in which they were earned, or are otherwise forfeited. Scheduling of Personal Paid Days will be by mutual agreement between the Company and the Employee and sched- uled on either full or half day increments with pay based on their normally scheduled shift.

Personal Paid Days. (a) All seniority full-time employees shall be entitled to a maximum of five (5) Personal Paid Days, the dates of which will be determined by mutual agreement between the Company and the employee. Five (5) days to be recognized within the period February 1, 2006 to January 31, 2007; five (5) days to be recognized within the period February 1, 2007 to January 31, 2008; and five (5) days to be recognized within the period February 1, 2008 to January 31, 2009.

Personal Paid Days. The Company and Union agreed during negotiations that the Company would continue its practice of providing five (5) Personal Paid Days (PPD) to all employees in each calendar year of the contract. The five paid days may be used for illness, illness of a family member or other emergency leaves. Pay-in-lieu is not available for a Personal Paid Day. The granting of a Personal Paid Day shall be subject to established guidelines. Full-time and seasonal employees shall receive seven and one-half (7½) hours pay at their regular wage rate without having to work for such pay for the personal paid day. Part-time employees shall receive personal paid day pay calculated in accordance with the terms set out by the Employment Standards Act, Ontario for calculating pay entitlement for a statutory holiday, without having to work for such pay for the paid personal day.
Personal Paid Days. An employee shall receive a total of nine (9) “Personal Dayswith pay per year. The annual basis for the accrual for personal days shall be earned at a rate of (.75) days per month. The personal days shall be credited using a January 1 – December 31 year. Personal Days are earned based on a calendar year. A calendar year is defined as January 1st through December 31st for any given year. A new employee will be prorated their personal days from their hire date until December 31st the first calendar year. They can then use their prorated Personal Days starting January 1st through December 31st the following calendar year of employment in which they were hired. The Company will offer at least four (4) personal day slots per day throughout each calendar year. Should the Company determine that additional employees may be off at any one time, the availability will be posted. Employees may request a Personal Day off with at least seven (7) calendar days advance notice to the Company. Personal Days that remain unused as of December 31 each year will be cashed out to the employee. In the event an employee separates their employment from the Company for any reason other than during their probationary period they shall be cashed out all personal paid days on a prorated base. Effective January of 2017, employees will receive a total of eleven (11) personal days.
