Personal Leave (Sickness / Family. Bereavement) All Full−time employees are entitled to 10 days (120 Hours) Personal Leave for each completed year of service with the Company and it shall be cumulative and accrue based on hours paid. Personal Leave is cumulative to a maximum of 35 days (420 Hours). Part−time employees are entitled to pro−rata Personal Leave based on their average ordinary hours. Employees being paid under Table B will not accrue Leave. The employer may, at his/her discretion, grant additional unpaid Personal Leave under exceptional circumstances. Any Personal Leave accrued prior to signing this Agreement will be carried over and at the time of taking such Leave will be paid at the wage rate the employee was in receipt of immediately prior to signing this Agreement.

Personal Leave (Sickness / Family. Personal leave is any leave taken for the purposes of: • personal illness or injury (sick leave); or • xxxxxx for an immediate family member who is ill (family leave) If you are a full time employee, your entitlement to this leave accrues on a pro-rata basis from when you commenced employment. You are entitled to 10 days personal leave per year. If you are a part time employee, your entitlement to this leave accrues on a pro-rata basis from when you commenced employment. Your yearly leave entitlement is linked to your set ordinary hours and will be calculated on a pro-rata basis. This leave can be claimed only for the days which you would normally work. In the event you are absent due to ill health, you are required to contact the Coordinator at home or the centre to discuss your absence. This must be at least one and a half hours prior to your shift commencing unless undue circumstances prevents, this to ensure adequate relief staff can be appointed. If you have an illness that is contagious, you are excluded from the centre until the contagious period is over and a Doctor’s certificate is required to return to work. In the event you are absent for two or more consecutive days, a Doctor’s certificate is required for the leave to be paid. In addition all absences on either the first or last working day of the week, must be accompanied by a Doctor’s certificate for the personal leave to be paid. Where you are absent for another reason and seek paid leave under this Collective Agreement, we may require you to provide appropriate evidence of the reason for your absence.

  • Personal Leaves 8.11.4.1 As approved by the Board, personal leaves without pay may be granted in cases of exceptional need for up to six (6) months. Any such leave exceeding one (1) semester shall not be counted toward tenure or promotion or for computing salary increments.   • Sick Leave/Personal Leave 1. Each member of the bargaining unit who is regular full-time, in an active pay status, is eligible for ten (10) days of sick leave and three (3) days of personal leave annually. No member of the bargaining unit shall lose the accumulated allowance of unused days of sick leave/personal leave by reason of having been absent for a period without pay, nor shall the employee accumulate any additional days of allowance during the absence. Faculty members needing to use sick/personal days shall fill out the requisite forms according to official College procedures.

  • Personal Leave Day A. An employee may choose one (1) workday as a personal leave day each fiscal year during the life of this Agreement if the employee has been continuously employed for more than four (4) months.

  • Extended Personal Leave Personal leave without pay not to exceed thirty (30) 26 days may be granted at the discretion of the Superintendent. Personal leave in 27 excess of thirty (30) days shall be subject to approval by the Board.

  • Sick Leave and Personal Leave The Administrator shall be granted paid sick leave, as defined in Section 24-6 of The School Code, of twelve (12) workdays per contract year accumulative to three hundred forty (340) days. The Administrator shall be granted three (3) paid personal leave days per contract year for personal business. Unused personal leave days shall be credited towards the Administrator’s accumulated sick leave.

  • Unpaid Personal Leave Where an employee has exhausted all paid personal leave entitlements, they are entitled to take unpaid personal leave to care for members of their immediate family or household who are sick and require care and support or who require care due to an unexpected emergency. The employer and the employee shall agree on the period. In the absence of agreement, the employee is entitled to take up to two days (up to a maximum of 16 hours) of unpaid leave per occasion, provided the requirements of 7.2.5(a) and 7.2.5(b) are met.

  • Personal Leave of Absence The Administrator may grant a request for leave of absence for personal reasons without pay provided that he receives at least one (1) month's clear notice, in writing, unless impossible, and provided that such leave may be arranged without undue inconvenience to the normal operations of the Nursing Home. Employees when applying for such leave shall indicate the proposed date of departure and return. Such leave shall not be unreasonably withheld.
