Payroll Deductions for Professional Dues. ‌ The District agrees to deduct dues of members of the Association and its affiliates, NEA and PSEA, from the pay of those members of the professional staff who have on file with the District a signed authorization form. New payroll deductions for employees shall be submitted on a signed authorization form substantially the same as the one utilized for the 1977-78 school year. These deductions shall be made in fifteen (15) consecutive pay periods, commencing with the second November pay. The amount to be deducted shall be certified to the District annually by the Association. A master list, with a signed letter of transmittal and any new payroll deduction forms, shall be provided by the Association and received at the District office prior to October 15 annually. In the event that an employee terminates services with the District prior to the total of fifteen (15) deductions being made, the balance necessary to complete the total dues will be deducted from the final paycheck received from the District. The Association shall indemnify and save the District harmless against any and all claims, demands, suits, or other forms of liability that shall arise out of any dispute between the District and a member of the bargaining unit by reason of action taken by the District for the purpose of complying with any of the provisions of this Section, or in reliance on any list, notice or document furnished under any of such provisions.
Payroll Deductions for Professional Dues. After receipt of written authorization from the teacher, the Board shall deduct professional dues from the salary of the teacher and make appropriate electronic monthly remittance to Kansas NEA for said dues. Pursuant to such authorization, the board shall deduct one-twelfth (1/12th) of such dues from the regular salary check of the teacher each month for twelve (12) months, beginning in September and ending in August of each year. Any balance due upon the teacher's termination of employment shall be deducted from such teacher's final check. The Xxxxxx-NEA shall indemnify and hold harmless the board from any claims, demands or any other form of liability that shall arise out of any action by the board in complying with the provisions of the above paragraphs. IRC #125 "Cafeteria" FLEXIBLE FRINGE BENEFIT PROGRAM Unified School District #313 (hereafter referred to as Employer) has established a flexible fringe benefit plan in order to make a wide range of benefits available to members of the Xxxxxx-NEA bargaining unit (hereafter referred to as Employee). This program has been established in conformity with Section 125 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, and in compliance with the applicable rules and regulations issued by the Internal Revenue Service. This Plan shall be construed, enforced, and administered, and validity determined in accordance with the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA, as amended), the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 (as amended), and the laws of the State of Kansas. Should any provision be determined to be void by any court or competent jurisdiction, this plan will continue to operate and for purposes of the jurisdiction of the court only, will be deemed not to include the provision determined to be void.   • PROFESSIONAL DUES AND PAYROLL DEDUCTIONS A. For Dues paying members, The District shall deduct one-twelfth (1/12) of dues and representation fee from the regular salary check of the unit member each month for twelve (12) months. Deductions for unit members who begin paid service after the commencement of the school year shall be prorated based on percentage of employment. Unit members serving one-half time paid service or less shall pay one-half of the dues and representation fee.
