PART-TIME/CASUAL EMPLOYEES. The opportunity for, first part-time, then casual employees to work additional shifts or enhance their hours shall increase according to seniority, provided they possess the necessary qualifications and the ability to perform the work. Part-time employees who perform call-in work outside their home department and classification will be considered as casual employees.
PART-TIME/CASUAL EMPLOYEES. In addition to the hourly rate of pay part-time and casual employees will receive the following:
PART-TIME/CASUAL EMPLOYEES. Section 27.1 Six (6) separate Seniority lists shall reflect full-time and part-time employees listed on an Airport wide and by terminal basis, as provided in Letter of Understanding #1. Seniority for Short term or special assignments will be upheld within each Client Contract based on Category seniority.
PART-TIME/CASUAL EMPLOYEES. A part-time or casual employee laid off and placed on the recall list under Article 13.3 will retain seniority during the period of layoff.
PART-TIME/CASUAL EMPLOYEES. While retaining Part-time/Casual status as applicable in their home department, Part-time/Casual Employees who accumulate at least 1200 hours during each 12- month status review period through cross-training will be provided with the following: Short Term Disability benefits as outlined in E.06. Approved Short Term Disability claims are subject to a six (6) day unpaid waiting period. Group Benefits as outlined in E.08, E.09 and E.10.
PART-TIME/CASUAL EMPLOYEES. Part-time regular and casual employees will be entitled to the following rest periods during the day:
PART-TIME/CASUAL EMPLOYEES. 44.9.1 Part-time and Casual Employees shall be paid at one and one half times (1.5X) her basic rate of pay for the regular hours of the shift worked as per Article 27 on a Named Holiday and two times (2X) her basic rate of pay for time worked in excess of those hours.
PART-TIME/CASUAL EMPLOYEES. The hours of work for part-time/ casual employees will be a minimum of 4 consecutive hours inclusive of meal times and rest periods, based on their individual availability. Part-time/Casual employees will be offered shifts based on classification followed by seniority. It is an expectation of employment that casual employees work a minimum of one (1) shift in each six (6) week period, if offered, and not on an approved leave of absence. Prescheduled shifts will be awarded based on classification, availability, and seniority. Emergency shifts defined as commencing within 24 hours of the identified need will be offered on the basis of classification followed by seniority however, the acceptance of the shift will be on a first to respond basis.
PART-TIME/CASUAL EMPLOYEES. Section 27.1 Part-time employees shall be paid statutory holidays and vacation payments as provided under the Employment Standards Act.
PART-TIME/CASUAL EMPLOYEES. An employee will be considered on probation and will not be subject to the seniority provisions of this Agreement, nor shall the employee's name be placed on the Seniority List until after the completion of four hundred (400) hours of work. Upon completion of such probationary period, the employee's name shall be placed on the Seniority List.
