Group or Policy Grievances. Where a dispute involving a question of general application or interpretation occurs, or where a group of two (2) or more employees or the Union has a grievance, Step 1 of this Article may be bypassed and such grievance submitted at Step 2 within fourteen (14) days of the event upon which it is based. In the case of Group Grievances, the Union may have a maximum of two (2) grievors attend at any meeting(s) or hearing(s) that are held in conjunction with such grievances.

Group or Policy Grievances. Within ten (10) days of the event upon which the grievance is based, the Corporation or the Union may submit a grievance in writing to the other alleging the violation of a term of this Agreement. Such a grievance shall set out the facts and the section or sections of the Agreement claimed to be violated or relied upon and the matter shall be dealt with in accordance with Article 9.06 (Step 3) and the balance of the grievance procedure. No grievance shall be submitted by the Union under this Article 9.09 unless it involves more than one (1) employee, or unless it is a matter regarding which the Corporation has established a written policy.

  • Policy Grievances Where either party to this agreement disputes the general application, interpretation or alleged violation of an article of this agreement, the dispute shall be discussed initially with the Manager, their designate or the Union within 30 calendar days of the occurrence. Where no satisfactory agreement is reached, either party, within a further 14 calendar days, may submit the dispute to arbitration, as set out in Article 9 of this agreement.

The grievance shall then be treated as being initiated at Step No. 1 and the applicable provisions of this Article shall then apply with respect to the processing of such grievance.

A meeting will be held between the parties within ten (10) days. The Union shall reply within ten (10) days after the meeting, and failing settlement, the matter may be referred to arbitration.

  • Union Policy Grievance The Union may institute a grievance consisting of an allegation of a general misinterpretation or a violation by the Employer of this Agreement in writing at Step Number 2 of the grievance procedure, providing that it is presented within ten (10) working days after the circumstances giving rise to the grievance have originated or occurred. However, it is expressly understood that the provisions of this clause may not be used to institute a grievance directly affecting an employee or employees which such employee or employees could themselves initiate as an individual or group grievance and the regular grievance procedure shall not be thereby bypassed.

  • Association Grievances If a grievance affects a group of employees or the Association, the Association may initiate and submit such grievance to the Superintendent directly, and the processing of such grievance shall commence at Step 2. Grievances involving more than one supervisor and grievances involving the administrator above the building level may be filed by the Association at Step 2.
