EMERGENCY VACATION LEAVE. Leave of absence with pay because of personal emergency of a person in the Department service may be granted by the Fire Chief for not more than two (2) shifts during a calendar year to deal with the personal emergency. Time taken for leave of absence under the provisions of this subsection shall be deducted from the vacation allowance of such person. Procedures for Emergency Vacation Leave are found in the OAG 20.000 (Vacation Selection).

EMERGENCY VACATION LEAVE. 1) The Fire Chief may grant emergency vacation leave for circumstances beyond the control of the employee.
EMERGENCY VACATION LEAVE. A bargaining unit employee may use vacation time, up to a limit of three (3) days annually, for emergency purposes. An emergency situation is one in which the employee has no control and requires immediate attention. Notice of such emergency or urgent personal business shall be given as many days in advance as possible. The approval or non-approval of the use of emergency vacation leave, as provided for herein, is dependent upon the employee submitting verifiable information or documentation corroborating the emergency situation. Examples of reasons for emergency leave are:

  • Vacation Leave A part-time employee shall earn vacation leave credits for each month in which the employee receives pay for at least twice the number of hours in the employee’s normal workweek, at the rate for years of service established in clause 34.02 of this Agreement, prorated and calculated as follows:

  • Recall from Vacation Leave Where, during any period of vacation leave, an employee is recalled to duty, such employee shall be reimbursed for reasonable expenses, as normally defined by the Employer, that such employee incurs:

  • Restoration of Vacation Leave In the event an employee is injured or becomes ill while on vacation leave, the employee may submit a written request to use sick leave and have the equivalent amount of vacation leave restored. The supervisor may require a written medical certificate.

  • VACATION LEAVE WITH PAY 14.01 The vacation year shall be from April 1st of one calendar year to March 31st of the following calendar year inclusive.

  • Accumulation of Vacation Leave An employee who has earned at least ten (10) days' pay for each calendar month of a vacation year shall earn vacation leave of:

  • Annual Leave (a) An employee may elect with the consent of the employer, subject to the Annual Xxxxxxxx Xxx 0000, to take annual leave not exceeding five days in single day periods or part thereof, in any calendar year at a time or times agreed by the parties.

  • Emergency Leave Notwithstanding any provision for leave in this Agreement, the Employer may grant leave of absence with or without pay to an employee in emergency or unusual circumstances. Such leave will not be unreasonably denied.

  • ’ Compensation Leave If such determination cannot readily be made and all healthcare leave or annual leave subject to 100% payoff has been applied to the absence, the employee shall be placed on Official Leave until a final determination is made.
