’ Compensation Leave definition

’ Compensation Leave. The use of Code 40 by an employee who is on Code 40 as a result of being on workers’ compensation leave will not forfeit his/her eligibility for the sick leave buy back unless the employee has also used Code 40 for different reason(s). Sick leave for which payoff is received is considered “used” in that it will not be added to the “bank” (or if added to the “bank” before the payoff date, will be removed from the “bank”).
’ Compensation Leave means any period during which an employee is absent from his or her employment due to an incapacity for work resulting from an injury in respect of which compensation is payable under section 31 or 37.
’ Compensation Leave. Any employee who is absent because of an injury or disease compensable under the Michigan Workers’ Disability Compensation Act is eligible to be on Workers’ Compensation leave.

’ Compensation Leave. The City may assign any employee on Workers' Compensation leave who is medically released to return to modified duty when feasible, to such work within the Police Department which is consistent with medical limitations as determined by the attending physician and the employee's skills and abilities at no reduction in the employee's regular rate of pay. Prior to changing the shift of a member who is medically released to return to work on modified duty, the Department shall make a reasonable and good faith effort to accommodate the member’s personal/family scheduling for the duration of the period on modified duty. However, if the Department is not able to accommodate the member’s personal/family scheduling for the period of the modified duty the Department is not precluded to change the member’s shift.
’ Compensation Leave. A nurse who has incurred a 4 compensable on-the job-injury will be granted a leave of absence in 5 accordance with state law. EIT is available to supplement workers’ 6 compensation to reach a compensation level of approximately two- 7 thirds (2/3) of the gross base wage.
