Duration of Work. The City and the Consultant agree that work will begin on the tasks described in Exhibit A immediately upon execution of this Agreement. The parties agree that the work described in Exhibit A shall be completed by ; provided however, that additional time shall be granted by the City for excusable days or extra work.

Duration of Work. 1. In consideration of this chapter and of the provision in or by virtue of laws containing prescriptions for reducing the duration of work, the employer shall determine a working hours schedule for employees. A working hours schedule is understood to be a schedule drawn up for a period longer than one week, which is made known in advance and which states the beginning and end of daily working hours. 2a. The duration of work is on average no more than 38 hours a week. The actual working week will be relieved by substantial breaks.

Duration of Work. Save for a provision to the contrary expressly provided for in their contract, local staff members shall exercise their activity on a full-time basis and comply with the normal working hours in force at the Centre. When local staff members are obliged to work overtime in cases of emergency or exceptional pressure of work, the Centre shall provide a compensatory period of rest or compensatory remuneration in conformity with the national legislation applicable at the Centre’s head office.

This wage rate is lower than the national average of $633 but higher than that in the other Atlantic Provinces and Manitoba. ▪ The average weekly wage rates in the service sector, which accounts for 79% of employment in the province, was $554 in 2003, among the lowest in Canada. ▪ In this province, wage rates were higher for occupations in the professional, scientific and technical services industries, which accounts for a lower proportion of employment in the services sector. ▪ Average weekly wage rates in the goods-producing sector were the fifth highest in the country in 2003. Wage rates in the primary sector were $716, higher than the Canadian average of $641. ▪ According to the Census, the average employment income has increased by almost 23% since 1985 to stand at $31,757 in 2000. Average real employment income in Canada increased by 12% in this same period.
Duration of Work. The contract will be on a long-term agreement basis with an expected duration of 24 months from date of contract signature with up to 100 working days.
