Department of Justice Commitments. The Department will provide the following supports to the ISI to enable it deliver on its objectives: • Liaise with the Department of Public Expenditure, NDP Delivery and Reform to ensure as far as possible, timely sanction for expenditure and staffing in line with Public Financial Procedures and Public Service Numbers policy; • Provide updates on Public Financial Procedures and Civil Service HR Policy Guidelines; • Provide a Human Resource Management service including, but not limited to, recruitment, employee relations, workforce development and performance management; • Provide the ISI with sufficient staff in accordance with its Work Force Planning. A summary table is available at Section 4.2. Where possible, the Department will provide at least two weeks’ notice before a member of staff is transferred; • Provide high quality ICT services via the Shared Service in accordance with the Service Level Agreement currently in place; provide advice in relation to proposed IT projects and resulting expenditure and ensure prompt review by the P3 committee of the sanctioning of project related expenditure; • Provide guidance on government accounting and governance; • Provide financial services (e.g. invoice payment and accounting services) through the Department’s Financial Shared Services; • Provide internal audit services to the ISI; • Provide assistance to the ISI in meeting its obligations under the Code of Practice for the Governance of State Bodies, including letters of assurance covering certain services provided to the ISI in areas such as IT; • Provide data protection support to the ISI through the Department’s Data Protection Support and Compliance Office; • Provide a networking and information service to the ISI, to ensure that staff of the organisation, who are civil servants attached to the Department of Justice, are kept fully informed of developments, career opportunities, staffing changes and policies in the parent Department; • Inform and involve the ISI in any activities related to the role that the ISI plays or may be required to play within the Department; • Work with the ISI in the regular reporting processes under the Public Sector Reform and Civil Service Renewal Programmes; • Provide monthly financial reports, processing of mobile phone bills, asset tracking and general financial advice via the Department’s Financial Management Unit (FMU); • Keep under review, in collaboration with the ISI, the effectiveness of the Personal Insolvency Act...

Department of Justice Commitments. The Department will provide the following supports to the Tribunal, subject to overall budgetary constraints, to enable it deliver on its objectives: • Provide, via its Corporate HR Function, services encompassing recruitment, employee relations, workforce development, performance management and liaison with (HR) shared services as required. In addition, the recruitment of tribunal members will be facilitated with assistance of the Civil Governance Function. • Liaise appropriately with D/PER to ensure, as far as possible, timely sanctions for expenditure and resourcing in line with public financial procedures and policies on public service numbers. • Provide for and resource the annual budget for the Tribunal in consultation with the Tribunal under the annual estimates process. • Provide any necessary guidance/direction/assistance on procurement and expenditure rules, government accounting and governance generally. • Provide ICT and other services as agreed in support of the Tribunal. • The Department, through shared services, will provide necessary supports to the Tribunal for audio-video hearings and hearings in regional locations. • The Department will continue to work with the Tribunal in the implementation of the Xxxxxxxxx Xxx Report recommendations as prioritised under the Programme for Government. • Provide payroll, invoice processing, internal audit, and other accounting services through the Department’s Financial Shared Services. • Continue to provide other support services essential to the ongoing core work of the Tribunal. • The Department will continue to provide interpretation and translation services. • Share information on issues such as Public Financial Procedures and Civil Service HR Policy Guidelines as may arise from time to time. • Engage in a timely manner with the Tribunal on strategic, corporate, policy, and legislative issues of relevance to Tribunal functions while noting the cross functional nature of the Department post-transformation. • Liaise, through the Transparency function, with the Tribunal at the earliest possible stage on: - Requests for information that may be necessary to assist in meeting the Minister’s obligations to the Oireachtas and in responding to representations, media queries etc.; and - Ministerial/Departmental announcements of relevance to the functions of the Tribunal.
Department of Justice Commitments. The Department will provide the following supports to the Authority as part of its ongoing collaboration to enable it deliver on its objectives:  Share information on issues such as Public Financial Procedures and Civil Service HR Policy Guidelines as may arise from time to time;  Engage with the Authority in activities related to its key role as one of those public bodies which form part of the Justice sector;  Provide monthly financial reports and general financial advice where this may arise via the Department’s Financial Management Unit (FMU);  Provide assessment and sanction of IT expenditure as may arise under the appropriate ICT Governance Group;  Exchange information with the Authority in responding to Parliamentary Questions or other public statements which relate to the Authority’s functions under the 2015 Act;  Consult with the Authority in respect of any circulars, memoranda or other matters which may impact on the performance of the Authority’s functions;  Liaise with the Authority and the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform in support of staffing arrangements if requested.

Related to Department of Justice Commitments

  • Service Commitment Newly hired nurses and currently employed nurses who voluntarily choose to relocate and receive a relocation allowance may be required to serve for a minimum of two years at their base before they will be considered for transfer to another base. This commitment will not apply when the employer and nurse mutually agree to waive it and when relocation occurs as a result of layoff/rehire.

  • Interlocal Cooperation Act In satisfaction of the requirements of the Cooperation Act in connection with this Agreement, the Parties agree as follows:

  • Real Estate Commissions Neither Seller nor Purchaser has authorized any broker or finder to act on any party’s behalf in connection with the sale and purchase hereunder and neither Seller nor Purchaser has dealt with any broker or finder purporting to act on behalf of any other party. Purchaser agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Seller for, from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, costs or expenses of any kind or character arising out of or resulting from any agreement, arrangement or understanding alleged to have been made by Purchaser or on Purchaser’s behalf with any broker or finder in connection with this Agreement or the transaction contemplated hereby. Seller agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Purchaser for, from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, costs or expenses of any kind or character arising out of or resulting from any agreement, arrangement or understanding alleged to have been made by Seller or on Seller’s behalf with any broker or finder in connection with this Agreement or the transaction contemplated hereby. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained herein, this Section 9.2 shall survive the Closing or any earlier termination of this Agreement.

  • Hearing Protection Hearing protection devices that reduce noise exposure below 90 dba shall be worn in all posted high noise areas, when performing work that generates noise above 90 dba, or when required by CCI Management.

  • Application of Takeover Protections; Rights Agreements The Company and the Board of Directors have taken all necessary action, if any, in order to render inapplicable any control share acquisition, business combination, poison pill (including any distribution under a rights agreement) or other similar anti-takeover provision under the Company’s charter documents or the laws of its state of incorporation that is or could reasonably be expected to become applicable to any of the Purchasers as a result of the Purchasers and the Company fulfilling their obligations or exercising their rights under the Transaction Documents, including, without limitation, the Company’s issuance of the Securities and the Purchasers’ ownership of the Securities.

Unions and employers are committed to providing a working and learning environment that allows for full and free participation of all members of the institutional community. Harassment undermines these objectives and violates the fundamental rights, personal dignity and integrity of individuals or groups of individuals. Harassment is a serious offence that may be cause for disciplinary sanctions including, where appropriate, dismissal or expulsion. The Institutions have a responsibility under the BC's Human Rights Code to prevent harassment and to provide procedures to handle complaints, to resolve problems and to remedy situations where harassment occurs. The employer will offer educational and training programs designed to prevent harassment and to support the administration of the institutional policies and to ensure that all members of the institutional community are aware of their responsibility with respect to the policy. The Unions and Employers agree that attendance is required and will take place during compensated work time.

  • National Environmental Policy Act All subrecipients must comply with the requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) 42 U.S.C. 4321 et seq., and the Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) Regulations (40 C.F.R. Parts 1500-1508) for Implementing the Procedural Provisions of NEPA, which requires Subrecipients to use all practicable means within their authority, and consistent with other essential considerations of national policy, to create and maintain conditions under which people and nature can exist in productive harmony and fulfill the social, economic, and other needs of present and future generations of Americans.
