Civil Service. (a) For regular or term employees transferred or appointed under the Civil Service Act, the probationary period shall be six (6) continuous months of employment immediately following the date on which the employee reports for work. On the expiration of such period of six (6) months the Deputy Head may extend the probationary period for further periods of three (3) months provided he or his designate advises the employee in writing prior to the extension. The total probationary period may not exceed twelve (12) months.
Civil Service. 2.6.1 The Government of National Unity shall also ensure that the National Civil Service, notably at the senior and middle-levels, is representative of the people of Sudan. In so doing, the following principles shall be recognized:-
Civil Service. 44.1 The rights of the employees as set forth in this Agreement are in lieu of (and not in addition to) any rights the employees may have pursuant to Ohio's Civil Service laws, it being the intention of the Employer and the Union that, except as prohibited by Ohio Revised Code Section 4117.08(B), this Agreement supersedes all of the provisions of Ohio's Civil Service laws.
Civil Service. Section 7.1 The employer and the Union shall recognize and adhere to all Civil Service and State labor laws, rules and regulations relative to seniority, promotions, transfers, discharges, removals, demotions and suspensions, when and where applicable.
Civil Service. When applicable to members of the bargaining unit, the Committee and the Union shall recognize and adhere to all civil service and state and federal labor laws, rules and regulations relative to seniority, promotions, transfers, discharges, removals and suspensions. All employees, whether or not covered by any statute relative to the above matters shall have recourse to the Grievance Procedure contained herein subject to the provisions of paragraph 7 of Article 6.
Civil Service. The City agrees to conform to all applicable Massachusetts Civil Service laws and regulations. If there is any conflict between any provisions of this Agreement, the above laws, rules and regulations shall govern.
Civil Service. 8.1 The City currently has a Civil Service system that covers members of this Association. Should a conflict arise between this Agreement and the Civil Service Rules, this Agreement shall prevail.
Civil Service. It is understood that matters subject to Civil Service are not subject to this grievance procedure, except as provided in Section 6.8,
Civil Service. Nothing in this agreement shall preclude the Personnel Director from exercising their authority to classify or reclassify positions and to establish entrance and promotional examination requirements. Employees shall perform all work assigned that is reasonably within the scope and terms of the classification specification, though not specifically described therein.
Civil Service. The provisions of this contract supersede the civil service requirements set forth in Ohio Revised Code, in all matters other than initial hires, including pre-hire examinations and eligibility lists.
