Time period Refund Rights Cancellation before Policy commencement date If You cancel before the Policy commencement date, you will be entitled to a full refund of premium paid and no administration fee will be charged. Cancellation within thirty (30) days of the start date on the Certificate of Insurance or receipt of the Policy terms (whichever is later) If You cancel within thirty (30) days and have not made a successful claim on Your Policy, You will be entitled to a full refund of premium paid. A pro rata refund example is as follows: - • 36-month Policy term. • £360 total premium paid for Policy. • Cancellation in month 18 leaves 18 full months remaining. • Pro rata refund of £180 less £35 administration fee. • Amount of refund due to You is £145.

CANCELLING YOUR POLICY. Cooling Off Period You may cancel this Policy within 14 days of the sales receipt date. If You choose to do this You are entitled to a full refund of the premium paid, provided that no claim has been made. Cancellation (Outside the cooling off period) If You cancel Your Policy outside the 14 day cooling off period and provided that no claim has been made, You will be entitled to a pro rata refund of Your premium based on the number of full months of unexpired insurance, subject to a minimum premium of £5, which will be retained by Us. CANCELLING YOUR POLICY. Cancellation by You – You may cancel this policy at any time by giving written notice to us at our address shown on the first page of this policy. The effective date of your request to cancel this policy will be the date we receive your cancellation notice. If you cancel your policy within 30 days from the date you receive this policy, any premium paid will be refunded to you. If you cancel your policy any time after this, any premium paid after we receive notice of your cancellation will be refunded to you on a pro-rated basis. CANCELLING YOUR POLICY. For Consumers you will normally have the right to cancel your policy for a period of 14 days from the commencement date of your cover or after you receive your policy, whichever is later. Full details are provided in the insurer’s policy document. For Commercial customers, if cancellation rights are available these will be documented in the policy documents, which will also explain whether the insurers will retain the premium in full or in part in the event of cancellation before the policy expires. We have the right to instruct cancellation of your policy at any time by giving you seven days' notice in writing where there is a valid reason for doing so. We will send our cancellation letter to the latest address we have for you and will set out the reason for cancellation in our letter. Valid reasons may include but are not limited to: ❑ Where we have been unable to collect a single or instalment premium payment. ❑ Where you are required in accordance with the terms of the policy to send us information or documentation and you fail to do so in a way that materially affects our ability to process a claim, or our ability to defend our interests. ❑ Where we do not receive evidence of your no claim discount within 21 days from the start date of the policy. ❑ Where we reasonably suspect fraud; or ❑ Use of threatening or abusive behaviour or language, or intimidation or bullying of our staff or suppliers. This means when you have paid us you have effectively paid the insurer. In a few cases pending passing your premium to the insurance provider or refunding premiums to you we keep your premium in a Statutory Trust Account. The aim of the trust is to protect you in the event of the failure of the firm, or the failure of the bank. In such a circumstance, the firm’s general creditors should not be able to make claims on your money as it will not form part of our property. No interest is payable on premiums held.
