Underwriters retain the right to decide what repairer or supplier is used and must be allowed to agree estimates first and will then pay the reasonable cost of repairing or replacing like for like items lost or damaged from an insured peril up to the scheduled sums less applicable policy excess but covers and perishable items may be subject to new for old deduction of 10% a year up to a maximum of 50%. Outboards valued per Threestokes Guide. The reasonable replacement or repair shall be considered sufficient despite the former appearance and condition of the property not being precisely restored. Current market value shall be taken as the repaired value in ascertaining whether the craft is a constructive total loss. EXCLUSIONS applying to all sections – Underwriters will not pay for or in the respect of: - theft or vandalism loss or damage unless reported to police within 72 hours of discovery and police reference obtained and provided. - ownership or use of craft for any activity for which a charge is made or payment to owner or others; or craft owned or used by companies, schools, authorities, clubs, groups, associations; owners who earn from involvement in any aspect of boating trade, teaching, charter, hire, boatbuilding, sail making, brokerage or sponsorship are excluded unless specially agreed in writing. THE COVER. Subject to payment of the premium, the Insurer will reimburse any excess paid by You under your Motor Insurance following the successful settlement of any valid insurance claim up to a maximum of 1 claim in any one Period of Insurance and provided the total amount paid under any claim on the Motor Insurance exceeds the value of the excess and that the incident leading to that claim under the Motor Insurance occurred during the Period of Insurance.

THE COVER. We cover you for your liability in respect of claims made or instituted against you by cargo owners and/ or the party bearing the risk of loss in and to the goods, from physical loss of or damage to the subject matter covered whilst in transit as set out in the statement of cover. Where no carriage agreement exists, the participant’s liability in respect of loss of or damage to the subject matter will be considered on a common law liability basis, however, within the ambits of this agreement. When the cover applies The cover only applies to transits that commence during the period of cover specified in the statement of cover or during any subsequent period that we have accepted payment.
THE COVER. If during an Insured Journey an Insured Person becomes involved in a Life-threatening Situation the Company will reimburse the Insured in respect of the costs necessarily incurred to employ the services of the Company’s security services provider Drum Cussac in extricating the Insured Person from such Life-threatening Situation The Company will pay up to the appropriate Sum Insured in respect of any one Insured Person subject to the Incident Limit as detailed in the Schedule Special Definition applying to this Section Life-threatening Situation Any situation or event occurring on an Insured Journey where the Company’s security services provider Drum Cussac agree that the Insured Person’s life is potentially in danger Special Conditions applying to this Section A Drum Cussac must be informed immediately or as soon as reasonably possible of any situation or event that may give rise to a claim B The Insured and Insured Person must provide Drum Cussac with all information in a timely manner and must not make or attempt to make arrangements without the reasonable involvement and/or agreement of Drum Cussac C Any extrication must be organised by Drum Cussac who will use the most appropriate method including if necessary the attendance of a security specialist to accompany an Insured Person if required Exclusions to this Section The Company will not pay in respect of any claim as a result of 1 the Life-threatening Situation being directly due to circumstances within the control of the Insured or the Insured Person 2 any fraudulent dishonest or criminal act of the Insured or the Insured Person 3 circumstances more specifically insured under the Hijack Kidnap and Detention Insurance Section or Evacuation Insurance Section of this Policy 4 any claim handled by Drum Cussac where it is subsequently found that the person incurring costs is not an Insured Person on an Insured Journey in which event such costs will be the sole responsibility of the Insured Travel Delay Insurance Section The Cover If the departure (both original and subsequent) of the means of transport on which an Insured Person is booked to travel on an Insured Journey is delayed as a direct and necessary result of any cause outside the Insured or the Insured Person’s control the Company will compensate the Insured on behalf of the Insured Person concerned for the inconvenience caused subject to the Incident Limit as detailed in the Schedule The Company will pay A £200 after the first 4 consecutive hour...
