For a Nonsalaried Participant, such Vested Retirement Benefit shall be computed in the same manner as a Normal Retirement Benefit under Section 4.1(c), except that it shall be based on his years of Nonsalaried Benefit Service and the provisions of the Plan as in effect on the date he ceases to be a Nonsalaried Employee.
Such lump sum payment(s) shall be in complete satisfaction of the Retirement Benefit earned as a Salaried Employee and/or as a Nonsalaried Employee, whichever is applicable.
A Member may elect to receive a single sum in the amount of the Actuarial Equivalent value of his total accrued Retirement Benefit earned as a Salaried Employee and/or as a Nonsalaried Employee if such total value is less than or equal to $7,500 ($3,500 prior to January 1, 1997).
Notwithstanding the foregoing provisions of this Article IV, effective as of January 1, 1997, if the Actuarial Equivalent value of all benefits earned as a Salaried Employee and a Nonsalaried Employee payable under the Plan (including a benefit payable in a form as described in Sections 4.7 or 4.8) is less than or equal to $3,500, such benefit shall be paid in a single sum payment as soon as administratively practicable following the Member's termination of service.
The benefits under this Plan for the period during which an individual is a Nonsalaried Employee and a Salaried Employee shall be determined independently; provided, however, that no more than 30 years of combined Salaried and Nonsalaried Benefit Service shall be considered in determining total benefits under the Plan.
Notwithstanding any provisions of the Plan to the contrary, an immediate distribution option shall not be available if the lump sum value of the total benefits earned as a Salaried Employee and as a Nonsalaried Employee as determined below exceeds $7,500.
