Casual Loading definition

Casual Loading means 20% of the Basic Hourly Rate.

  • If a provision of the Act, a Regulation made under the Act, or a decision of a competent authority results in the employee being deemed to be a Full Time or a Part Time employee and, as a result the employee has been paid the Casual Loading during a period when they were deemed not to be a Casual employee, then the overpayment of that Casual Loading may be recovered from any entitlements that arise from the employee being deemed to be a Full Time or a Part Time employee.

Casual Loading means the casual loading set out in Item 2 of Schedule 1 or the casual loading determined by the Australian Fair Pay Commission from time to time, whichever is the higher;
