Long Term Temporary Employee definition

Long Term Temporary Employee means a member of the School Administrative and Support Staff employed by the Director-General on a temporary basis, either full-time or part-time, under section 21 of the Act, for a period in excess of one school term.
Long Term Temporary Employee means a person employed by the Board hired for a continuous period of employment in the same assignment to replace a member absent, on an approved leave of absence, including sick leave, LTD and WSIB for a period of six (6) months or more, to a maximum of two (2) years. It is understood that the two (2) year maximum may be extended upon mutual agreement of the Board and the Union.
Long Term Temporary Employee means an employee hired on a temporary basis, four (4) continuous months or longer in one location for:

Examples of Long Term Temporary Employee in a sentence

  • Upon successful completion of a three (3) month trial period, the Long Term Temporary Employee shall be entitled to one (1) day of vacation with pay for each continuous month of employment in the first calendar year of employment up to a maximum of ten (10) working days.

  • Long Term Temporary Employee - An academic employee employed for at least one semester due to the need for an instructor and no regular employee is available or due to an increase in the number of students for the particular semester.

  • Long Term Temporary Employee: Position for a period of 90 working days or more but not greater than two years (excluding grant funded positions).


More Definitions of Long Term Temporary Employee

Long Term Temporary Employee is a member of the Bargaining Unit and shall pay Union dues.
Long Term Temporary Employee shall have their employment terminated at the expiration of the period of employment without having established any seniority. If, however, such employees are hired to fill a permanent position then seniority shall be retroactive to the date of original continuous employment.
