Vacation Assignment. Vacation leave will be awarded on a first come first served basis. Where two or more employees simultaneously request vacation leave for the same or overlapping periods, the senior employee shall be awarded first choice. If an employee enters the 4th quarter (Jan-Mar) and does not have a vacation plan, they shall be directed to schedule the remainder of their vacation. If they have not scheduled their vacation within two (2) weeks of being requested to do so, Management reserves the right to schedule a vacation period in consultation with the employee, ensuring that no more than five (5) vacation days are carried over.

Vacation Assignment. Selection of vacation shall be by seniority order prior to the beginning of the calendar year. The vacation schedule shall be posted once a year prior to January 1 of the calendar year. Any vacation not selected at this time shall be granted to employees on the basis of the earliest request without regard to seniority.

  • Modification; Assignment No amendment or other modification, rescission, release, or assignment of any part of this Agreement shall be effective except pursuant to a written agreement subscribed by the duly authorized representatives of the parties hereto.

  • Work Assignment 1. It is understood that the assignment of work to purchased services does not convey a right to such work in the future, nor does it create any precedent with respect to future assignment of such work to purchased service employees by the employer.

  • Overtime Assignment A. In institutional settings when the Agency determines that overtime is necessary, overtime shall be offered on a rotating basis, to the qualified employees who usually work the shift where the opportunity occurs. If no qualified employees on the shift desire to work the overtime, it will be offered on a rotating basis first to the qualified employee with the most state seniority at the work site. When there are no volunteers to work the overtime as outlined above, and/or where an emergency exists, reasonable overtime hours may be required by the Agency. Such overtime shall be assigned, on a rotating basis, first to the qualified employee with the least state seniority at the work site. This policy shall not apply to overtime work which is specific to a particular employee’s claim load or specialized work assignment or when the incumbent is required to finish a work assignment.

  • Shift Assignment Should the University elect to establish a shift on any other schedule than the regular day shift (Monday through Friday) or to assign employees to work on any such shift, the employee(s) with the most seniority in the classification affected or to be assigned on such shift shall have preference in moving to such shift. If an insufficient number of employees in the classification elect to move to such shift, then the employee(s) with the least seniority in the classification shall be assigned to such shift. If positions or shifts are reduced or eliminated or movement of personnel to other shifts is required, then the seniority of the affected employee will prevail in the selection of shift, provided the affected employee can do the required work. Such shift preference is only applicable within the employee's classification.

  • Invention Assignment Contractor shall cause each of Contractor's employees, subcontractors, or subcontractors' employees charged with performance of a Work Order or granted access to confidential information to execute an agreement in a form acceptable to the District recognizing LAUSD's ownership rights and concurring with the obligations of Contractor as set forth herein. Contractor shall ensure that Contractor's employees, subcontractors or subcontractors' employees comply with the provisions of such confidentiality and invention agreement and shall be responsible for enforcing such agreement with respect to such personnel.

  • Benefit; Assignment Subject to provisions herein to the contrary, this Agreement shall inure to the benefit of and be binding upon the parties hereto and their respective legal representatives, successors and assigns. All vacancies within the Bargaining Unit shall be posted (manually or electronically) in locations where Bargaining Unit employees regularly work. The posting shall include the title, wage range, and sufficient information regarding requirements and duties to adequately describe the vacancy. The vacancy shall remain posted for seven (7) calendar days which shall be spread between two (2) workweeks.
