Minimum Work Hours Clause Samples

The Minimum Work Hours clause sets a required baseline for the number of hours an employee or contractor must work within a specified period, such as a week or month. Typically, this clause outlines the minimum threshold of hours that must be met to maintain employment status or to qualify for certain benefits, and may specify consequences if the minimum is not achieved. Its core function is to ensure consistent workforce availability and productivity, while providing clarity for both parties regarding expectations and obligations.
Minimum Work Hours. Any substitute driver who fails to perform at least twenty (20) hours of substitute work normally performed by transportation employees (excluding any scheduled meeting / professional development training days) during the preceding school year, shall have their employment terminated by the Board of Education. The recommendation to the Board of Education for termination shall be made in the first month immediately following the school year wherein the minimum twenty (20) hour threshold was not met.
Minimum Work Hours. An employee who is required to work on a Saturday or Sunday will be paid for a minimum of four hours work.

The calculation of the guaranteed minimum work week includes all hours planned for each Assigned Employee except for On Call time.
Minimum Work Hours. Hourly paid Employees and/or job based paid employees who are not scheduled for work and are called in for work will receive a minimum of two (2) hours pay. With respect to job based employees, the straight time hourly rate will be determined in the same manner as the hourly rate of pay is calculated for the purposes of calculating overtime pay as described in section 7.07 below.
